Last night's training equipment wise we kept to a minimum due to the rainy conditions At Monty's we're steering away from Agility and moving towards K9 Pole Wrap Show Jumping as shown. In our opinion this is a safer option where the dog is always facing the next jump in a natural straight line position after leaving the Pole Wrap. The course set was very basic due to the weather conditions within the next couple of weeks our new equipment will be ready. The jump heights are 25, 45, and 65cm. When shown we welcome unbiased constructive comments which can be of benefit to enable us to get it off the ground an an alternative to what we see in competitions now.
The type and breed of dog you don't associate with Activity Training. Monty's can't take all the credit as from what I understand Kilo has received some control training from Dean Woodcock, Kanetex Dog Training. Never the less. WELL DONE.
We've seen a big one. Now the turn of little Pickle the Pug.
Tonight's Training with Arnold. Note we use a pole wrap as we believe to be a safer option to a wing wraps.
Lola this morning doing an half hour track spread over four legs. At towards the end of the second leg,Lola lies down indicating the first arrival,a strip of leather one inch wide x four inches long. On to the third and fourth leg which at the end was her favourite rubber ball as reward.
Today's Training on a Steeplechase Course with an added hoop and pause table thrown in. Shown is Helen and her Springerdor H who have been training for just over a year after completing our Puppy and Young Dog Preparation Program. A nice flowing round from both. Just unfortunate, H clipped one of the jump poles. To be absolutely fair to him. This was his first training session after having a couple of weeks off due to a cyste removal operation on his back.
