With children and pets spending more time together over the summer holidays, it's super important to watch dogs closely and listen to their body language ⚠️

Dogs' stress signals often get misunderstood or missed, with some owners not realising their dog is unhappy until they growl, snap or even bite.

The canine ladder of communication is a useful guide, showing the different signals dogs show through their body language to communicate. As a dog gets more upset, their body language may change according to the steps on the ladder 🚦

It’s important to note that all dogs are different - not every dog will show every behaviour on the ladder and might not follow the same order.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR 2024 (updated)

PAYMENTS ( CASH/BANK TRANSFER ONLY)

Must be paid at time of collection and no later.
Including any additional fees for matting and late collection.

ALL DOGS MUST
Be on a secure collar or harness and lead
Be Microchipped
Have a tag with up to date information.
You must tell us of any pre-existing illness, allergies, painful points or aggressive tendencies, sensitive skin etc. and we will accommodate their needs.

BOOKING, CHANGING, CANCELLING APPOINTMENTS AND NO SHOWS

To book an appointment this can be done by phone/facebook message or popping into the shop.
Cancellations/Changes require 24 hours notice.
Failing to do so and no shows will now be required to pay a non refundable deposit of £20 to rebook.
Due to a full client list, we strongly advise booking your dogs appointments well in advance, ideally for the full year.

MATTED DOGS
Following the 2006 animal welfare act we cannot spend more than 15 minutes brushing knots out of your dog, so if your dog is matted to prevent pain and suffering we will clip off short.
An additional fee may be charged for severe matting, due to equipment wear and tear and additional appointment time.

FLEAS
Please tell us if you think you dog has them, we can put them straight in the bath and use insecticidal shampoo.
Any dog found with fleas or flea dirt will be charged an additional £5.
If your dog has a severe infestation you may be required to collect the dog and treat at home before we can safely groom as this will affect the rest of the days clients.

PICK UP AND DROP OFF
All dogs must be collected straight after their groom. We try to operate with a one in one out policy to reduce stress.
We will give you a collection time or we will ring you when they are ready.
Fees may be applied if no return within half hour.

LATE ARRIVALS
We can no longer take any dogs more than 15 minutes late
Please call us if you are running late, we can accommodate some changes to appointment times due to traffic etc.

XL BULLIES
We will happily accept XL Bullies if they are following all mandatory requirements (muzzled, neutered, 3rd party insured)

NERVOUS/AGGRESSIVE DOGS
We will happily groom your dogs with behavioural issues.
Please be honest and clear about any issues they may have.
This will give us a better understanding on how long the groom will take and any changes we need to make to accommodate them better.
We have a lot of experience with nervous/aggressive dogs and are happy to help and advise.
