For many of us, this is true.

There are only three things that have eased my grief and broken heart in this dark time.

First of all I would like to thank all the people who have commented and sent messages regarding Chester’s passing. The amount of people who have shed a tear and have been impacted by Chester is truly heartwarming in this dark time. It really means a lot to me and I want to thank you all.

Second I would like to thank and highly recommend Final Rest. Chester was only poorly for just over a week and with multiple trips to the vet we only found out on Friday he was riddled with cancer. As he was deteriorating quite quickly the kindest thing to do was to put him to sleep the next day.
This company managed to fit us in on such short notice. From the moment Ben arrived he treated Chester with dignity and compassion. He explained everything to us and gave us as much time as we needed through each step. Chester wasn’t scared or frightened, he was able to pass away, peacefully, at home, surrounded by love and dignity. For what it was, his passing was beautiful.

The third thing that eases my pain is that Chester had a full life full of adventures and love. He has traveled to so many places from the highlands of Scotland to the beaches in Bournemouth. He was a special dog. He made so many friends who loved him and he loved them. One thing those who know Chester is he always loved his food and even up to his last hour with us was able to enjoy a meal of steak and liver.

He was truly adored. He was my animal soulmate. My little shadow. You will never be forgotten Chester. I will love you forever and I truly hope we will meet again one day.

It's with such great sadness we have to announce that our baby boy Chester has grown his angel wings, and after a short battle with a very aggressive cancer was put to rest at home with all his family around him on Saturday at only 8 years of age. He passed peacefully with so much love around him. He is now at rest after living a short but most amazing life full of adventures, treats and so much love from everyone he came into contact with. He will be immensely missed by lots of people and we will hold him in our hearts forever. Love you loads our baby boy, chase all the squirrels and eat all the sausages in heaven. 28/04/2016-15/06/2024 🌈🐾
