🦴🦴🦴🦴🦴🦴 Bone broth 🦴🦴🦴🦴🦴🦴

Bone broth is liquid gold! Literally, this wonderful liquid contains so much goodness, it can be fed daily, it’s great for humans too!

The recipe is below for how to make your own, you can tailor it for your needs needs if any allergies. It’s great for dogs with arthritis!

Improved Gut Health:
Bone broth contains gelatin, which can help soothe and heal the digestive tract, making it beneficial for dogs with sensitive stomachs or digestive issues. If your dog is unwell or off their food offering them warm broth can give them much needed liquids and nutrients too.

Enhanced Joint Health:
Bone broth contains glucosamine and chondroitin, which are essential for joint health and can help reduce inflammation, adding things like turmeric can help too, just make sure to add black pepper to activate the turmeric.

Supports Liver Function:
Bone broth contains glycine, an amino acid that helps detoxify the liver and support its overall function.

Improved Skin and Coat Health:
Bone broth is a rich source of collagen, which is essential for maintaining healthy skin and hair, promoting a shiny coat and reducing dryness and itchiness. If your dog suffers with flakey or itchy skin, adding broth to their diet can help this. It is essential you make with the right bones to not trigger any allergic responses.

You can make up a batch, keep some in your fridge or add it to ice cube trays and freeze.
When made broth can go very jelly like, this is perfect! You can warm in the microwave or on the stove to melt to make easier for adding to trays for freezing.

We also stock it pre made for ease! In a variety of flavours let us know if you’d be interested in hearing more!

🐟🐟🐟Sardines 🐟🐟🐟

Fish is a super important part of your dogs diet, they get so many essential nutrients from fish, fatty omega 3&6, the oils from the fish are incredible for their coat condition and overall health and well being.

I always recommend fresh whole fish over oils, oils such as salmon oils oxidise in the bottle and go rancid. This is why I don’t stock them or use them.

I keep a bag of frozen sprats in the freezer which the girls have a couple daily and love them, they eat them straight from the freezer. They also occasionally have tinned in spring water too.

Fish can be fed daily and is so important to their diets. Feeding dried sprats is going to be the next best thing if they won’t eat them frozen.

Whole mackerel and sardines can be fed too.

Does your dog like fish? What’s their favourite?

Do you feed kefir or yoghurt to your dogs?

We add kefir to Kodi and Novas bowls daily, it helps keep their breath smelling fresh, healthy guts and keep them in tip top shape.

It can be bought in any super market so is accessible for all, long as it’s unflavoured and no added sugars it’s good to feed,

You can also freeze it into ice cube trays or moulds and add berries for extra flavour and goodness.

It’s a good thing to add when suffering with digestion upset to help restore the good bacteria.

Hair cow ear - £2 each

Cow ears are the perfect longer lasting chew! With multiple benefits, the hair acts aids with natural worming, they are huge so long lasting and with the texture of them aids with teeth cleaning.

They are super low in fat at 4%, if your dog hasn’t had fur before I would start off with rabbit ears or goat ears then work up to cow ears due to the amount of hair on the cow ears can be too much for some dogs to start with.

My Journey

My journey started on the Boxing day 2017, when I bought home Kodi, my new Husky puppy!

Bringing her into the house opened up a whole new world for me that I didnt even know exsisted! Natural, Raw, Hollistic, it was all so new! There was so much to learn, but this is where it all started!

It started with a dodgy stomach, transistioning over to a raw diet was fine! But something wasnt right... Kodi needs a diet of low fat meats, she always has and probably always will, but giving her Kefir every day seems to be her saving grace!

All was okay... until disaster struck on the 22nd of Feb when my beautiful 4 month old puppy fractured her shoulder in not 1 but 2 places!
