Woofs Walks are a friendly, professional and reliable dog walking service based in Grantham.
My name is Carol and I have had dogs all my life, including Border Collie’s, Newfoundland's and Labrador's. I believe a dog is part of the family and not "just a dog" because they give so much love and devotion to their people pack! I have also worked in a dog rescue centre, so I have a lot of experience working with dogs of all breeds and temperaments.
At 18 I got my first dog, a Newfoundland called Bonnie, such a sweet gentle giant. 3 years later I welcomed another Newfoundland (Cookie) into our family. My Newfoundland’s were such devoted dog’s, following my children everywhere making sure they were safe, especially at bath times, my 3 boys would be in the bath with 2 Newfoundlands watching over them. Since then I have had a Labrador called Poppy and now I have a Border Collie called Molly.
Why use a Dog Walker?
I am here to help relieve the stress and anxiety that comes with a busy lifestyle whilst having a dog, with Woofs Walks you can leave your home guilt-free knowing that your dog will be walked and taken care of, we treat your dog like they are one of our own. You will return home knowing your dog has had a great time and plenty of exercise and stimulation.
Dogs, like humans, are social animals who crave socialization, interaction and stimulation, A walk will provide your dog with a welcome break, a change of scenery, different sights and smells, exercise, time to fully relieve themselves, as well as having some company during the day.
Many breeds like Border Collies, Jack Russell Terriers, Labradors, Spaniels to name a few need regular exercise to remain happy and healthy. Unfortunately its often the case that if dogs do not get enough exercise and stimulation they begin to exhibit signs of destructive behaviour like chewing, digging, problem barking and even aggression. In most case's it is not because the dog is bad it could be that they are just bored. A tired dog after a stimulated walk is a happy dog.
What to expect - your dog will have a stimulating walk with sights, smells and plenty of treats. If the weather is wet don't worry! If you leave me a towel, I will dry your dog at the end of our walk. If dogs get really muddy I will give their legs and paws a rinse off at the end of the walk with our portable shower. The walk does not start until we arrive at our destination and we walk for the full hour (weather permitting). Boots are removed or we use overshoes when we get back, so there will be no fear of messy mud marks in your home!
I offer a free meet and greet, so I can arrange a day and time that's convenient to come to your home and introduce myself, meet you and of course your dog and answer any questions you may have.
