This is Tilly strutting her stuff just an hour after she woke up from her Laprascopic Spay. She is one of our littlest patients for keyhole surgery at just 5.2kg. She has totally stolen our hearts π π β₯οΈ β€οΈ π π

The use of Laparascopic surgery is commonplace in the human field, but still quite rare in the Veterinary world.
We have been performing Laprascopic bitch spays since May 2022 and are now offering other proceedures. Today we performed a liver biopsy. A low invasive way of getting a diagnostic answer that normally involves specialist referral.
Gordon's top tip....freeze a lick it treat. Makes a great cat ice cream. Gordon says "you're welcome π±π"
Just to let everyone know Chickens are now allowed out......let them jump for joy π
Meet Monty who is doing incredibly well following cruciate surgery just 1 week ago!
Monty (like many middle aged dogs) ruptured his cruciate ligament while out on a weekend walk. He was seen the same day and received anti-inflammatories and pain killers and was booked for xrays. The xrays confirmed a ruptured left cruciate ligament and it was arranged for Rafa our visiting orthopaedic surgeon to operate on Monty 2 days after his xrays.
We are now 8 days on and already he is weight bearing and so happy.
Long term Monty will shortly be starting his rehabilitation exercise programme and a little diet π so there is less weight on his legs.
He is such a jolly little chap and we are so pleased with his progress so far.
The amazing Trip from The Trickstars came for a check up today with Gemma and that meant we all got a quick show in reception. How about this level of training?!
3 days till we open our doors to our first patients. A mixture of excitement and a little terror that we won't be ready ππ¬. Think we have a busy weekend ahead.....
