Why use a dog park?

Safety: Enclosed parks provide a safe environment where dogs can run and play off-lead without the risk of running into traffic or getting lost. Owners can feel more at ease knowing their pets are contained within a safe area.

Physical Exercise: Enclosed parks give dogs ample space to run freely, which is essential for their physical health. Regular exercise helps maintain a healthy weight, improves cardiovascular health, and provides an outlet for excess energy.

Mental Stimulation: Exploring new environments and interacting with other dogs (if visiting with friends) provides mental enrichment. The variety of sights, sounds, and smells in a dog park can keep dogs engaged and stimulate their natural instincts.

Community Building: Dog parks often serve as social hubs for friends and dog owners, fostering a sense of community. Owners can meet and connect with other dog lovers, share tips, and establish friendships while their dogs play together.

Sessions available this weekend - book here: https://ruraltailsdogpark.co.uk/make-a-booking

It really has been a soggy start for the Rural Tails Dog Park but we’re making efforts to combat the muddy conditions!
We’ve laid some ground reinforcement grid and bark chippings at the entrance and under the poo bin and we’ll be adding more around the shelter and picnic bench too.

The shelter will also be getting a little upgrade to combat the sideways rain!

Thank you for visiting today Maia! Hope you enjoyed it 😍

And this is why we decided to do this….

‘Just wanted to say how grateful we are that you’ve opened this place, our Harry can’t be let off lead and it’s so nice seeing him being able to run around and actually be a dog!’

(Harry is second from the right, look at his little face!)
