Cat vaccine update:
cat vaccines are now back to normal supply so we no longer need to wait the three months. We are sending reminders out for all those due May to August.

A reminder for those with an XL Bully, who was one year or older at end of this January, that they need to be neutered by the end of this month. For those with a younger one, you have until end of the year.

Lungworm: this is a dangerous worm that can cause a variety of problems and even death. Dogs can get infected from licking grass and do not have to eat a snail or slug. Unfortunately over the counter wormers do not provide prevention or treatment. We offer free parasitic check ups to prescribe a worming treatment that will protect your pet.

Cat microchipping law: for all those with a feline friend, please remember that microchipping becomes compulsory from 10th June for all cats by the time they're 20 weeks old.

Lost Tortoise on Sunday 19th May
Think she has got out of the garden and may be on Blackshots Field or the surrounding area.
She is about 30cms long so she could easily be seen.
She has to have specialist pellets for a medical condition, so it is important we get her home soon.

unfortunately cat vaccines are back on restricted supply until the new year. We are having to prioritise kittens and at risk groups. For routine boosters, we are now extending time from the last injection to fifteen months.

Fireworks season is starting. For those with pets who get a little frightened there are a few things you can do. Keep your pets in, draw the curtains and turn up the radio/TV. A den can be made with a duvet covering a crate/table or similar. There are also calming aids such as calmex. For any extreme anxiety there are some prescription medicines - please contact to discuss.

We are still experiencing delays with getting products from our wholesaler. We are hoping that this will improve by the end of the week. Apologies for this. We are also experiencing very high call volumes, so if you struggle to get through please do email at [email protected] as emails are checked during the day.

Further to earlier post, we have still not got all items ordered from wholesaler since 25th August. We are advised that we should have everything in and back to schedule by Wednesday 6th September. Apologies for this delay.

Unfortunately due to our wholesaler moving warehouse at the weekend, we haven't received any deliveries today or yesterday. We are expecting a delivery by Friday. This is causing delays in getting your pets medication ready. We will let you know as soon as we have our delivery and medication is ready to collect.

For those travelling in Europe this summer, please remember to check your pet has an up to date rabies injection and if not to book a booster at least a month before travel. As the animal health certificates take a while to complete please schedule an appointment as soon as you know your travel dates.
