✨ Happy Gotcha Day! ✨
Do you remember Silky?
The young Saluki pup arrived into RSPCA care in a sorry state with multiple wounds to his legs, after he was found living in poor conditions💔
Luckily for Silky, one of our animal care assistants fell in love with him instantly and couldn't resist taking him home 🥰
1 year later in a home and Silky is living his best life 🐾
Day in the life of Aysha 🐶🐾
Looking for a relaxed, loyal companion? Aysha is the dog for you!
Aysha was abandoned and left tied to a gate 💔
Since she has been made available for rehoming, she hasn't received a single successful perfect match form. It breaks our hearts because Aysha is a fantastic dog and if anyone could meet her,it is clear to see that she will make an amazing companion in a home.
Aysha is currently spending her days practicing her basic commands, having a wander around our large paddocks and enjoying trips offsite with her friends Blue and Rhonda!
Aysha is a chilled out sweetheart looking for the right person to take her home 🏡
Can you give her a chance?

Do you remember Chomper?
Chomper, now known as Archie arrived into our care due to welfare concerns.
He is living his best life with his new family and brother George. He experienced his first ever beach trip and it is clear to see that he absolutely loved it 🌊
Introducing our handsome chap Kenzo!
Some of you may have been greeted by Kenzo on reception where he spends his days currently as he finds being kenneled stressful.
Kenzo was abandoned and this has left him worried when being left. We've gradually been able to build up his alone time on reception but this will need to be restarted when he's transitioned into a home. You're likely to find Kenzo wants to follow you around the house, so access all over will be essential whilst he learns his humans aren't going to leave him again.
Kenzo is an affectionate boy who loves a good bum scratch, and then sprawls across the floor settling down for a snooze. He loves playing with his soft and squeaky toys, and settling down on his bed with a tasty kong.
Kenzo has been learning appropriate interactions with dogs, but we feel for now he'll be best as the only pet in his new home. This will allow his new owners to concentrate on continuation of training. Kenzo walks beautifully on a lead most the time and is happy spending time with people.
Kenzo ideally is looking for a quieter home with a consistent routine. Households with children 14+ will be considered.
If you feel that Kenzo is the perfect match for you, please submit an application form:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdOgUwrYfnhvfGAZ78PMgyVV9wOCoywImZFSOQDHYVAmVhZKg/viewform
A day in the life of Draygo🐾
Draygo has been enjoying the nice weather a little too much!😎
He has made the most out of his pool days, whilst the warmer weather lasted☀
Draygo is still in our kennels waiting for the right application form to be sent his way🐕
Since his arrival in March, he has brought so much fun and joy to us at the centre and we can’t wait for him to be able to offer the same to his new family very soon🏡
Draygo’s rehoming wish list:
-To be the only pet in the household.
-Preferably an adult only household.
-Adopters who will be home most of the time with an understanding that time left must be built up gradually.
Draygo spent some time in a home, but unfortunately struggled when left alone. He is in need of someone home all the time, who will be committed to working on his separation anxiety and toilet training.
All you need to do is meet Draygo to know he is the perfect dog for you❤
If you are committed to offering him a forever home, please complete a perfect match form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdOgUwrYfnhvfGAZ78PMgyVV9wOCoywImZFSOQDHYVAmVhZKg/viewform
Aysha arrived at our centre in May this year, after being found abandoned.
Aysha can be a very cuddly girl that likes lots of affection if you're her person. She has grown very close with one member of staff and created a very attached bond, so she'll be the one letting us know if you're the right match.
Aysha can become anxious and stressed in unfamiliar situations, potential adopters will need to have a good understanding of canine body language and be willing to take a hands off approach to help her build confidence. It is very important that she is able to bond with her new owners, because of this we would recommend multiple visits to the centre, a strong bond will help her transition into a home.
Aysha loves her food and equally loves to play around in water especially the river, however she is not overly interested in playing with toys, but does love zoomies in the big paddock. She doesn't show much interest to other dogs on site and off site, she is definitely more of a people dog. She may be able to be rehomed with another similar sized & calm dog, however, this would be dependent on meets at the center.
Aysha will benefit from somebody being around for most of the day, although she is fine in her kennel, she can sometimes find it stressful when spending time in our offices and in the home room, because of this we think she will likely struggle with some form of separation anxiety. We do not have any background history on her but suspect she spent the majority of her life living outside.
If you are interested in offering Aysha a forever home, please submit a perfect match form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdOgUwrYfnhvfGAZ78PMgyVV9wOCoywImZFSOQDHYVAmVhZKg/viewform?pli=1

* Poppy and Sia must be rehomed as a bonded pair*

Lexie-Buffy is still desperately looking for a new family to join 🐾
🐕Lexie-Buffy is a beautiful whippet cross.
🐕She is estimated around 7 years old.
🐕Lexie-Buffy is already spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Lexie-Buffy is a sweet lady, who is still full of life. She thoroughly enjoys her walks and loves nothing more than a good run around a paddock. Lexie will be an ideal companion for someone who is home all the time, as she will need to learn that it is okay to be left alone.
Lexie-Buffy finds her time in the kennel environment incredibly stressful so she currently spends as much as her day as possible in one of our office spaces. Here she's learnt how to settle and will snooze and keep staff company as they work.

After a long 330 days in our care, Flash is still with us at the centre. She is in urgent need of a home 🏡
Can you help us find her perfect match? 🐱
We can't understand why Flash hasn't had a single successful application form😕
During her long stay with us, no one has ever came to the centre to meet her and give her the chance she most definitely deserves.
Flash may be overlooked because she is a black cat but she is more than what meets the eye.
Flash has watched a lot of her fellow feline companions leave the centre, now it is her
turn to find her happy new home!
Our confident, loveable lady is looking for the following:
🐱To be the only cat in a home
🐱Access in a safe area to go outside and explore
🐱Flash could be rehomed with kids
🐱She is full of energy and loves to play - lots of toys and treats would never be declined
🐱Flash has already been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.

✨Happy Ending✨
Angel and Rosie have settled into their new home wonderfully🏡
'Building trust and bonding 💞💞. They are the sweetest most gorgeous gifts. I love them to pieces already.'
Aysha was found abandoned😢
She arrived at the centre emaciated and covered in faeces.
We are happy to say she is safe at the centre until she finds someone willing to give her a second chance in a home🏡
Aysha will be ready for rehoming once she has recovered from her spay.
In the meantime, she's checking out the new items in our shop and making a list of her essentials for her new home - of course the treats are top of the list!
✨Overlooked cat in immediate need of a home!✨
Poor Archie is still waiting for someone to love him💔
After spending over 305 days in RSPCA care, it is clear to see that he is desperate to leave his pod and have a fresh start. The cattery environment is making him very stressed and we would love nothing more than to see him settled in a home🏡
Archie is a sweet boy with such a gentle, loving nature. He came from a home environment, but was not given the 1-1 attention he deserved, as he was part of a multi cat household.
During his lengthy stay with us, Archie has taken everything in his stride. You will usually find him curled up snoozing in his bed or sitting in his outside yard watching the world go by. He is a sensitive soul and a firm staff favourite here at Great Ayton.
With a gentle approach Archie will come over for a fuss and happily accept a few dreamies. Understandably, it just takes him a little bit of time to get to know you and for you to gain his trust.
Archie may be getting overlooked for being a stereotypical black cat, however he has as much to offer as any other cat looking for a forever home.
We are hoping someone takes a chance on him very soon. Can you help us find his perfect match?
If you can offer Archie a home, please click on the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdOgUwrYfnhvfGAZ78PMgyVV9wOCoywImZFSOQDHYVAmVhZKg/viewform

Sneak Peak 👀
We have some adorable kittens, who have just went up for rehoming today! They must be rehomed in pairs.
If you can offer them a place to call home, please submit an application form.
Jet is another one of our long stay residents at Great Ayton.
He was removed from his previous household via our inspectors due to welfare concerns.
Jet was very reserved and shy on his arrival to the centre. Slowly but surely, Jet has come out of shell and grown in confidence.
He is a sweet natured, cheeky chap with a lot of love to give to his adopter. Jet will benefit from a quiet, calm household where he can readjust and settle in his own time.
Jet is hoping to find his perfect match very soon. Can you help him find his forever home?
