The one where Rupert had a full groom!!! 🤩

I've been working with Rupert and his owner for about 2 years now, he showed up at my salon doors very frightened from a previous experience somewhere else.. when attempting anything he would go to snap without warning so he wore a muzzle for safety! His owner had been grooming him at home and then we would finish little bits together like feet and nails!

After a few sessions the muzzle came off and he trusted me enough to warn me rather than go straight for the snap - I even get a proper tail wag when he comes to see me now 😍

Each session his confidence has grown more and more! He got left with me for a bath for the first time a couple of months ago, we took it slow and I read Ruperts body language and decided he needed his human back halfway through to give him some reassurance before it got too much for him - we call her his Emotional Support Human🤩😂

Fast forward to Monday his fifth "bath and brush" session - never did we think we would be able to complete a full groom on him!!!
It's not the most perfect groom but it's perfect enough to keep Rupert happy and comfortable and we are so proud of him and how far he has come ♥️
