It’s been a crazy week! I’ve been ill and now my little boy is in hospital with pneumonia.

Those pesky wasps got my little Hughie!

My little boy Woody cane running in asking “why does chewie look old” (they call
him chewie) I did chuckle as that’s an odd way to describe his swollen face! But I ran and checked, and poor Hughie had a huge face!!!

No stinger evident so I assumed likely a wasp. A small red mark visible on the inside of his right lip which is where I applied some lemon juice on a cotton ball. I then held an ice pack wrapped in a cloth on his face and monitored him closely. You are more than likely to have a vet check for your dog at this stage…

No itching or irritation, no difficulties breathing, still barking when the doorbell rang, still keen to eat, still happy to play! No drugs given, just the cold pack. And within 6 hours it was like nothing had happened! Back to normal face size. No longer looking old 🤣.

(Says me) Yes today I think will be her last day of bleeding then she can go off lead…(says them) my face…😬 oh my that’s when she can get pregnant!!!! I reply.

So many people do not understand a bi***es cycle and when the bad stuff can happen. Oh and bad stuff also may happen if you spay a bitch when she’s suffering a phantom pregnancy!
