Iโ€™ll be away until Monday 8th September and wonโ€™t be checking messages regularly. If thereโ€™s an absolute emergency, I do have my phone and diary with me but signal may be as wild as the mountains Iโ€™m escaping to! โ›ฐ๏ธโœจ

After working 60 hour weeks throughout August to make sure all you lovely lot were in and sorted, Iโ€™m ready for a little recharge. ๐ŸŒฟ

Meet Luna who came for her first bath & dry - although she did let me trim up her feet! 16 weeks old ๐Ÿ˜

I hear a lot of people are very fearful of taking their puppy to a groomer thinking we are going to cut them short or take too much off. This really isn't the case ๐Ÿ–ค The last thing I want to do is to take loads of length off at such a young age - they just don't understand the process well enough to sit still for me to even do it!

On the other hand, I have people who come to me expecting full haircuts on very young puppies which is incredibly hard to do when your furry client doesn't understand what is happening.

You want to introduce your puppy into professional grooming as soon as you possibly can, especially when they've got a high maintenance coat like Luna. We have to get them used to us, the bath, the different types of dryers, different tools and the noises they make (clippers or scissors) and that's all before I've got to get them to understand how to safely stand on a table and stand reasonably still! ๐Ÿคฃ

The longer you leave that introduction, even for a simple bath and dry, the less chance you have of achieving the hairstyle you want further down the road.

I'm not just here to cut hair, I'm here to help train your dog and for everyone to get the best experience. ๐Ÿถ

Oreo was an absolute angel for his first proper hair cut after he started puppy introductions with me! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป Pip came for her first bath introduction with him and was equally as good although perhaps 500% more excited ๐Ÿคฃ
