Introducing my sponsored rider and pony combination Honey Crawford ⭐️ and ‘Danwood Ballerina’ aka ‘Blondie’….💛

⭐️ Honey is eleven years old, she started showing aged four and has been extremely successful in the show ring qualifying for both RIHS and HOYS. I chose to sponsor Honey because she massively impressed me over the time I’ve been going to her yard as she’s an out and out grafter. Honey works very hard with her ponies doing all of the groundwork and backing herself, she rides with a maturity and empathy thats rare to be seen in adults, let alone an eleven year old.

💛 ‘Blondie’ is just four years old, she’s a WPCS silver medalist and has been slowly backed and produced by Honey over the last few months and will go out this year to do some novices with the aim of campaigning HOYS classes next season. The pony is absolutely top class, the photos don’t do her any justice…
I think she’s the best section b 4yr old filly I’ve ever seen and I’ve no doubt this combination together will go on to achieve great things, and I hope in some small way I can help them both. 🫶🏻

The 24 Behaviors of the Ridden Horse in Pain is a film that dares to challenge the way we look at reactive horses, and promotes the notion that lameness doesn’t start at the head bob.

This short documentary features world-renowned expert in equine orthopedics, Dr. Sue Dyson, and her work demonstrating that many “bad” horse behaviors frequently labeled as “resistant”, “lazy”, or even “explosive”, can actually be indicators of pain.

“The 24 Behaviors” follows Dr. Dyson and Dr. Jim Myers of Gold Coast Equine, as they examine and diagnose show jumper Lauren McMahon’s beloved mare Galina, who was not obviously lame, yet seemed increasingly unhappy under saddle.

Unfortunately, Galina’s story is not uncommon. Through the eyes of a young girl who loves her horse and will stop at nothing to try to figure out how to make her comfortable, horse lovers will learn to better understand their own horses, and will see how it is possible to spot the early signs of pain.
