Wellingborough Dog Welfare, or Wellidog as we are more fondly known is a local charity in Grendon, Northamptonshire, and we are dedicated to making life easier for strays and unwanted dogs locally from surrounding areas. Founded in 1993 we have been rescuing stray dogs for over 22 years and are still as committed today as we always have been. With so many abandoned and unwanted dogs entering kenne

ls every day we are committed to finding loving homes for all of our dogs. We are a no-kill shelter who believe that second hand dogs make first class friends, and we work around the clock to raise funds to care for the dogs in our care while we search for their perfect forever home. All of the money we raise goes directly to our charity, but we can only carry on the work we do with the help of people’s generosity. We do not claim expenses for our work, our payment is seeing the dogs in our care transferred to a forever home and becoming part of a family where they are loved.

This boy is looking for a loving forever home who will take him on lovely walks and adventures as well as offering plenty of cuddles! He has such a lovely temperament and loves everybody he meets, he really is the sweetest. He will bond very strongly to somebody, he isn’t one for playing with toys at the moment, all he wants is to be by your side or on you for cuddles. He is a leaner and will just sit leaning into your leg for cuddles literally all day if you let him

He loves his dinner he can’t eat it quick enough! As with any puppy he is going to need a bit of training but he is pretty good already, he walks really well on the lead and isn’t overly boisterous. If he is with you he is super happy! He will happily chill on the floor next to you, in the vets he just sat there all calm waiting.

He is fine with other dogs he just wants to play so could happily live with another dog. This boy really will make somebody a wonderful companion

These two beautiful girls are looking for their forever home who can give them plenty of love and cuddles. They have such wonderful temperaments and are just so happy all of the time.

Lula loves to chase a tennis ball but also sitting on your lap. Poppy likes to have a mooch around but also to still know you are there, she can be a bit whiny as she just loves people too much and attention. They both love their food especially ice cream 🍦

They will need regular grooming as they came to us in a really poor state so it needs to be kept on top of. They will make a wonderful addition to somebodies home or family

They love to go on walks and walk really well on the lead, two dogs ready to go on adventures

Neville is a super sweet little boy who loves to lay on your lap or on his back having his belly rubbed. He loves to be with the other dogs. He loves toys and playing in general, a cheeky chap. But more so he loves water! He will tip his water bowl over just to carry around 💦 he is just such a happy little pup his tail is always wagging and he is looking for a committed home that will take him to training and get him through his chewing stage. He needs a forever commitment.

This beautiful girl is such a sweetheart! She will make somebody such a wonderful companion, walking and cuddle buddy. She loves cuddles and will happily sit on your lap but… if you have a ball then that’s fair game she just wants her ball 🎾😂 she places it nicely next to you for you to keep throwing. She is such a happy girl and gets so excited to see people. She enjoys her walks too. She is ok with other dogs (she loves going out with Colin and Clive), but may not be overly comfortable living with a boisterous one. She will be so much fun for somebody, she has so much love to give somebody!

Riley is a 2 year old Labrador full of energy looking for an active home who can give him the exercise he needs and to keep him busy. He gets very excited, he loves to be out and about sniffing everything!

He will come over for fuss when he wants to. He likes to chase a ball or show off his toy but not for long as he is back sniffing 👃😂 he is a happy boy his tail is always wagging, he is always happy to welcome everybody.

He can be a little shy with other dogs but has been fine just needs a bit more socialising but was fine with our Colin 🩵

He is a strong boy who could do with some manners on the lead but he is a young Labrador with a lot of energy 😂

A great boy who is full of energy and love who is looking for a forever home 🐾 he is ready for adventures with somebody 🎒🎒

The grendon summer fete will have plenty of stalls to do a bit of shopping whilst waiting for your turn in the dog show

Food, ice cream etc available too

All raising funds for the Wellidog’s to be able to keep helping more dogs in need
