The time has come for Max to find a new life partner and jockey.

For anyone that is interested he will make someone a brilliant U18/U21/ Teenagers event horse. He has been competing with me last season and into this season, he is competition fit and ready to go.

For anyone that is interested please get in touch, I’ll send over his info and I have loads of videos/ pictures to send and a lot can be found on our feed.

This is a really sad sale as him and I are really close, I just feel like he needs someone smaller to fulfil his full potential. Please pass this on to anyone who might be interested in this amazing little guy!

First and second runs for the boys this weekend at market,

BE100 for Max - we had a much better test than last weekend and he was a lot more chill, we still have a lot to work on but he’s really taken to the challenge this year. We had an unfortunate 2 poles in the showjumping, but it was an all up course with a lot going on outside of the ring. He was an absolute star in the cross country and he absolutely flew the saw bench at 3.

Novice For Slim - it’s only his first run out for the year due to one thing or another. He worked in really well even with the amount of horses in the warm up, he kept level headed in the test and we came out with lots of positives! He had the time of his life in the show jumping, and we got through with a clear round. Same again for the cross country, although we had a few minor breaking issues due to his excitement out on course leading to a few time faults.

Overall a good first and second outing for the pair!

Thanks for sacrificing your tea in the nights before the event, to make sure the boys were feeling their best for the event!

Look at this little guy! 😍

So Norton Disney BE100, first run of the year for us, didn’t really go to plan…. This little fella had a lot to deal with, with the dressage arena being hock deep, but we got through it. Unfortunately in the showjumping I pointed him at the wrong fence 🫣 so we were eliminated for a course fault. However we were still able to run cross country and boy did Max bring his game! We went clear and was only 2 seconds outside the time, which I didn’t think was bad at all for a schooling round. We Have a lot to take away from the weekend, some bits to work on and lots to look forward to!

Success doesn’t come without a few bumps in the road.

Slim and I went for a training day today. His head was elsewhere in the 1.10m but he got his head on for the 1.20m round 🐎

Our little Lion heart Max throwing some big shapes yesterday in the 95cm and the 1.0m!
He’s such a fabulous little jumping horse and will be one to watch in the future! 🦁

As we draw a closer to the end of the year I feel like all my Christmases have come early! We made some bold claims at the beginning of the year, and Cantrell Arenas have helped these become a reality.

Thank you to Darren and the whole team for bringing this project to an end before Christmas, it’s been a hard task with no help from the weather! I’m forever grateful and so are the competition ponies. We’re looking forward to next season, being onboard with you guys!

Ella is a gorgeous, sensible, flashy moving lady.
She’s a 15.3hh, 5 y/o dapple Dunn.
She is sensible and smart, with striking moves destined for working hunter classes. She has flashy moves on the flat and she has a good jump in her although she is still green.
She is very level headed, she hacks alone and in company along with enjoying pleasure and beach rides. She stands well for the dentist, the farrier and for clipping.
She is a pleasure to have on the yard and she is definitely easy on the eyes!

This position will suit someone who is motivated, passionate, hard working and willing to learn.

Candidates should have a positive attitude, a drive to work hard and a passion for horses. Candidates should be confident and competent around horses of all shapes and sizes, have a good knowledge of equine care and be confident with handling young, fit horses.

Riding is not essential but would be considered an advantage and would be reflected as such.

We’re back and settled in after a week at Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials. Both mine and Slim’s first ever CCI2*L completed on our slightly shaky dressage score. He was so much more mature in the dressage but we still need to get him more comfortable. We then went on to a belter of a cross country run to finish clear and inside the time of 8:26! And then into the main ring on the final day for the long, twisting and gluey Showjumping round!

So pleased to come away with a double clear and managing to finish 17th overall! We also managed to pick up a surprise 1st in the PC110 challenge, coming away with a memorial trophy and some nice goodies 💁🏼‍♀️

Timmy is a cracking pony with lots to give. He started off good with us but through a winter of hunting he has opened up a new league of pony! Anything he is pointed at, he will jump, he was clearing hedges to up and above 1.20m which for his size makes him an absolute firecracker of a pony.

We had such a fantastic day today at Norton Disney Equestrian horse trials. We completed our first BE Novice, finishing on a double clear and came home in 9th place! So proud of slim and over the moon with todays result!
