A new fitness and rehabilitation centre for your pets based in central Grimsby. We are an animal Hydrotherapy Centre built for fitness and rehabilitation.

We are run by 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses who have completed the SEG Level 3 Award in Hydrotherapy. We have both aquatic treadmill and a hydrotherapy pool with jets to accommodate your patients needs. Please note, we cannot accept patients without a veterinary referral form. Why choose HydroPet?

We are a team of 4 veterinary nurses who all hold additional qualifications to offer rehabilitation for your pets.

Nikki has recently received her Level 4 Diploma in Advance Canine Aquatic Treadmill Techniques unit. Phoebe and Chloe both hold Level 3 Diplomas in Canine Hydrotherapy.

Charlotte is currently working towards her Level 6 Diploma in Physiotherapy. Once she has completed this course, she will be allowed to call herself a Physiotherapist. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Charlotte and the rest of the team were taught basic physiotherapy. Charlotte then went on to do an additional year of study to complete her NCert Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

Gwen here says, did you know that HydroPet also offers acupuncture?

Clara is a Registered Veterinary Surgeon who has completed an Acupuncture Therapy Course. She offers acupuncture in both Grimsby and Immingham.

What is acupuncture you ask?
Acupuncture is the stimulation of sensory nerves under the skin and in muscles using little needles. This can help to relieve pain and stimulate healing.

How many sessions may you need?
This is very much patient dependent, but it is recommended to try a few sessions first to see improvements.

This is Pablo (otherwise knows as Pabbie🥰)

After starting with us in October he has managed to lose just over 6kg in weight!!👏🏼 Losing this additional weight by making diet alterations and coming to us for weekly treadmill sessions has meant that his hip pain has reduced significantly and we are now working on building up his muscles and increasing his fitness level.

New year, New therapist 🥳

Phoebe will be taking on her own day in here. This means that the below days will have the below therapists (with the exception of annual leave)

Mondays - Nikki
Tuesdays - Nikki
Wednesdays - Chloe
Thursdays - Phoebe
Friday - Nikki until 3pm, Chloe from 3pm onwards

Please keep this in mind when making your appointments.
Can we also kindly ask that appointments are made 2 months in advance where possible.

Next up we have Yoshi 🥰

Yoshi has come to us as he has multiple ailments causing hind limb weakness. We will be working with Yoshi to try to strengthen his hind limbs, improve gait and build muscle. This will be a slower process due to Yoshi’s medications but this is something we are confident we can achieve over time!

Luna has joined the HydroPet family to help strengthen her hind limbs after a suspected injury to her cruciate ligament. She has had 2 sessions with us so far and is doing very well. This week she settled right into her session and is already starting to show improvements.

This beautiful little girl has had spinal surgery and has been given the all clear from the vets to start her rehabilitation journey with us 🥰

Last week we had the pleasure of meeting Teddy 💙

Teddy has started sessions due to spinal issues that he had sustained. He is under medical management with the vets and is going to use Hydrotherapy to strengthen muscles, improve gait and provide some additional pain relief.

Teddy did incredibly well and we cannot wait to work with him more!

Kiwi 🥝 🌟 We are so so thrilled with how far Kiwi has come! This is the first time that Kiwi has swam for us and we couldn’t be happier 🥰 Kiwi used to be very worried by the higher water levels so we have been desensitising him at the end of his sessions by increasing the water levels slowly. We were so so happy and surprised to see him take the plunge and start swimming during his session on Monday 🥳🥹 Well done Kiwi!

Jumping into the weekend with a splash 💦 Here is Raven demonstrating her amazing jumping into the water, clearing the full length of our pool 😂! Raven comes for fitness session and usually works in the treadmill. However, every now and again we like to give her a fun session and let her do some diving in the pool! As you can see, she thoroughly enjoys drenching Nikki and aims for diving on Nikki. Have a great weekend all 🥰
