Meet our newest member Daisy🌼

Daisy has joined us for Hydrotherapy after having some Xrays and being diagnosed with bilateral patella luxation🩻 This means Daisy’s knee or stifle joint is unstable and can cause her intermittent pain. The Vet has referred Daisy to us so we can help her build up her quadriceps muscle which will help to support her luxating patella’s. We have already started building Daisys confidence up in the treadmill and we’re sure she will be a pro in no time!

Keep up the good work Daisy🩵💧

Meet Ollie💙

Ollie came to meet Chloe last week in the hope that regular hydrotherapy will help with his arthritis and elbow dysplasia.
Ollie struggles with multi joint arthritis therefore most of his limbs are very stiff and sore so moving around can be difficult at times. When in the water he moved much better due to the added support from the properties of water!

Ollie took to hydrotherapy like a duck to water and will be having regular pool and treadmill sessions, he’s such a happy boy and loved his first session🦆🩵💦

Did you know that we have started a refer a friend scheme for hydrotherapy and physiotherapy?!

If you refer a friend, you will get 10% off a session after they have attended their first session (initial assessment not included). Every penny helps right?!

So come on, spread the word! Max here is already eager to tell all his little friends about us 🥰

Leo 🐾

This handsome boy is Leo. Leo is our therapist Phoebe’s cat.

Leo suffers with mild hip dysplasia as well as sacralisation of the L7 vertebrae. Sacralisation of the L7 vertebrae means that the vertebrae has gotten a little confused. Lumbar vertebrae do not normally have wings on them, but Leo’s L7 vertebrae does as it felt like maybe it wanted to be part of the sacrum instead. This a congenital disorder, meaning Leo was born with this. As he has gotten older, and grown into the big handsome boy that he is, it has become uncomfortable for him.

Leo showed Phoebe signs of pain by pulling out clumps of his fur as well as being grouchy with her other cat. Leo can still mobilise like a “normal” cat but has subtle signs that he is not ok.

Clara opted to start acupuncture with Leo as another form of pain relief. However, Leo had other ideas and did not like the needles! Luckily, our laser therapy machine as an acupuncture function and Clara used this for Leo. Leo has had 2 sessions now and is managing well pain wise.

Leo is a prime example that patients do not always like what we offer. However, there are ways and means around these blips so that we can still help your pets.

If you would like information on how acupuncture may help your pet, please contact the centre on 01472 403775 or email us on [email protected]

Meet the team! 🥰

Hello, I am Clara.

I am the lead Acupuncturist at HydroPet, currently offering acupuncture and laser acupuncture services for the animals that don’t tolerate needles very well.

I have been a Veterinary Surgeon for 13 years and hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology and further qualifications in exotic animals and wildlife medicine.
I studied Veterinary Acupuncture in 2024 through the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists and have been practicing since, seeing a variety of cases and species (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and even some reptiles!).

I have 2 cats, Mimitos and Clarita, who I rescued 11 years ago.

The thing I love the most about acupuncture is the chance of helping animals when medicine alone is not enough and to relieve animals from their pain. It is very rewarding to see the improvement in quality of life they experience and the difference that a few needles can make.

I am available most days of the week for appointments both at the Grimsby and at the Immingham practice, come give acupuncture a try!

Meet the team 🙂

Hi, I’m Charlotte!

I have been a registered veterinary nurse (RVN) for nearly 5 years now. Before coming into the veterinary industry, I worked in Equine welfare and rescue for several years.
I've always had a passion for rehabilitation and supporting patients with chronic conditions. So physiotherapy feels like the prefect fit for me. I completed a Nurse Certificate in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation with Improve International a few years ago. Since then, I have really enjoyed being able to help a variety of patients, and be part of the Hydropet team.
I am now studying to become a Veterinary Physiotherapist.

At home, I have a dog, 5 cats and 4 horses! Yes, I'm a crazy animal lady! I compete my horse's in Endurance - competitive long distance riding.

Meet the team 🥰

Hello I’m Chloe ☺️

I’ve been working in veterinary practice for a little over 7 years now and qualified as a veterinary nurse at the beginning of 2021.

I went straight into my Hydrotherapy training from there and got my Level 3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy a year later in 2022 and have been treating patients here ever since.

I find hydrotherapy to be one of the most rewarding parts of my job, I love nursing surgical cases both in theatre and post-operatively and find that with hydrotherapy we really get to see them blossom post-op, find their feet and just get stronger and stronger! I’m also a sucker for an arthritis case and find helping our golden oldies feel relaxed and give them a spring in their step is just so lovely!

When i’m not at work I’ll often be walking my dog, Opie (pictured) with my husband, or spending time with family and friends!

I love the dynamic here at Hydropet and genuinely look forward to seeing all my gorgeous patients and lovely clients on a regular basis!

Meet the team 👋

This is Phoebe! Phoebe has been veterinary nursing for 3 years and now is also qualified as a Level 3 Hydrotherapist. She has a beagle cross named Piper🐶 and she also has two cats named Leo and Mobi. Leo unfortunately has problems with his spine, so sometimes he comes in for a swim too! When she’s not at work, Phoebe loves travelling and snowboarding with her fiancé.

Meet the team!

Hi, I am Nikki 👋

I am lead Hydrotherapist here at HydroPet.

I have been a Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse now for 10 years. I gained my Level 3 Diploma in Small Animal Hydrotherapy in 2021 and have been treating patients in the water since we opened in October 2022. I have recently gained my Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Canine Aquatic Treadmill Techniques also.

I have 2 dogs, River and Henry, and 6 guinea pigs at present!

I love all things rehab and love being able to provide pain relief during our sessions, without the use of medicine. Being able to help rehabilitate patients and improve their quality of life is so fulfilling and is what I find the most rewarding here, alongside meeting all you lovely owners and getting to know you and your pets 🫶🏼

The face of a pupster who knew she shouldn’t be jumping up 🙈

Raven here competes in agility and attends regular fitness sessions to keep in tip top shape for her competitions.

Raven much prefers the pool to the treadmill but we have been working hard on improving her confidence in the treadmill and we are so pleased with how Raven is doing.

Keep up the good work little lady 🥰

Thank you for your continued support!

Nuka✨

Nuka is a long-standing regular patient and comes to see Chloe weekly for a swim.

He struggles with arthritis in his old age and a weekly swim helps to soothe those aching joints and muscles and give him a bit of a spring in his step!

He’s come such a long way from his first few appointments, staffys tend to not be the biggest fans of water and this was the case for Nuka at the beginning! However, with lots of gentle encouragement he is now a pro and loves getting off the ramp and going for a swim now he has conquered his initial fear!

Chloe has some availability now throughout the day on a Wednesday so please enquire if you are interested!💦

Why choose HydroPet?

We are a team of 4 veterinary nurses who all hold additional qualifications to offer rehabilitation for your pets.

Nikki has recently received her Level 4 Diploma in Advance Canine Aquatic Treadmill Techniques unit. Phoebe and Chloe both hold Level 3 Diplomas in Canine Hydrotherapy.

Charlotte is currently working towards her Level 6 Diploma in Physiotherapy. Once she has completed this course, she will be allowed to call herself a Physiotherapist. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Charlotte and the rest of the team were taught basic physiotherapy. Charlotte then went on to do an additional year of study to complete her NCert Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
