I have grown quite attached to this lovely young character who has been here too long now since early April. His owner is unable to have him back so he needs a loving home. A year old now with new vaccinations he desperately needs some space and love. He has not got a bad thought in his nature and has never shown his claws or any aggression whatsoever. Even though he won't stay in your arms for long, you can pick him up and he will roll over for a belly tickle every time. I am sure he will be constantly around your feet wherever you roam in your home. I will miss him but he does need to get out more. 😸

We get the coolest cats. When the cattery is constructed with cold store insulation panels it keeps it cool in summer and warm in winter. The continual cool breeze circulating through the pens from front door to back window helps too. Water bowls full of cold water and everybody is happy . . . Well, it is afternoon nap time😸😸

Let me introduce you to one of our regulars. Poppy is 13 and looking for a new loving home. Her owner is 70 and bought her as a kitten but is struggling to give her his full attention now. She has never been ill and is fully vaccinated. Poppy is proving to be a lovely, calm resident and not at all nervous as first thought. She does an endearing little roll when the morning food arrives. A nicely normal and healthy friend for anyone thinking of adopting.
If you know anyone who can accommodate Poppy please msg us so any potential new owner can see her at Church Lane Cattery until October.

Just to reassure you we still have plenty of pens available this year but obviously beginning to fill in the peak summer holidays. I have had a worried caller wanting to book 2022 after receiving some misleading information. Here's Pebbles back inside for some nibbles after laying in the sun in the outside part of his pen today.

We have just a few lonely residents at this time of year. Lockdown isn't helping of course. So just to let you know if you are moving home or need us to look after your loved ones for any other reason. Just call.
Meanwhile the lucky few are enjoying plenty of space, ear tickles and the calming classical music. 🐱

We've seen some unsafe cat carriers used recently so wanted to highlight the main problems before anyone loses their loved ones.
We had one plastic carrier literally fall apart in the owner's hands while carrying it.
I noticed the soft plastic grille door easily bent so leaving the box itself prone to twist and come undone.
Many of the plastic boxes become worn at the door hinges opening too easily.
By far the safest and easiest to use are the zip up carriers.
Check this one out on ebay.
I haven't seen this one personally but it seems quite simple.
Cheap too.
