Missie May came in for a social visit today, she has to have regular injections that can be a little worrying for her so we focus on having visits to the vets that are purely for fun! She had a snuffle mat filled with treats and enjoyed playing ball! She's learnt to push the ball back to people as she struggles running around now!
We love these type of consults and so if you feel your pet could benefit from a social visit to us, please give us a call on 0300 777 1840
Cairo is one of our longer term patients. He is recovering from a fractured pelvis and has recently undergone surgery to remove the top part of his femur to aid his recovery and stop the broken fragment causing him more issues. With the support of Megan, one of our nurses who specialises in pain management and physio, she is helping him improve his muscle mass and range of movement. Here is a video of them demonstrating one of their physio sessions! Keep up the good work Cairo!
Have you ever wondered what happens when your pet is taken from clinic to have a blood sample taken?
The answer is always squeezy cheese!
We often use this as a distraction and reward. Here is Buddy demonstrating how good this is!
Our Star Patient of the Week is Binx. 🌟
Binx has come to the hospital as he has been struggling to urinate. Despite being in some discomfort, Binx has been the loveliest boy, giving us all head bumps (albeit very forceful ones! One of our nurses has a sore nose!!) and has been constantly kneading (or making biscuits, as it's known to us in the hospital!) a sure sign of happy and relaxed cat. He's therefore won the award for being such a brave boy and also making the best biscuits in the biscuit factory!
We hope you feel better soon Binx!
Jumping into Friday with one of our littlest patients. Little Johnson sure knows how to have a good time!
