"I can't often get my son out of the house, brought him to the farm over the summer and it was the first time I'd seen him really genuinely smile in so long, you could see the stress and anxiety just melt away. So many people feel that way."

EOTAS Student
"The farm makes me happy! It makes me feel calmer and good. I get to feed the animals and I like cleaning them out. I enjoy the new things I learn."
Students teaching assistant comments
"He has gained so many benefits from being at the farm. In class he is coping with the structure much better, knowing he has this break and release at the farm, he is able to follow instructions much better. We are proud of him and it's helping him cope with things much better, he gets much more work done and will sit and be happy to do the work now, especially when he knows he will be visiting the farm again soon. He has become much more gentle and cares for things a lot more since going. He's much more settled in school and feel it has boosted his confidence too."

It's Just a Farm...
EOTAS Student - quote from mum
"He started his EOTAS at Nunnys farm at the start of March this year. He started off like a bull in a China shop, unable to follow instructions properly, would act on impulse and couldn't fully handle the animals due to his struggles with regulating his excitement.
Over the last few months he has made huge improvements. Working with the animals has taught him how to be gentle and the importance of listening to instructions. He's so much more gentle and calmer, even professional I'd go as far to say, with how he approaches them and cares for them. He is extremely confident with the animals and has been taught so much to do with the care and looking out for the health since starting here.
Some people would question, "what has working with animals, got to do with a child's education?" My answer would be to do with several things. Working with the animals has been a form of therapy for him. Animals are non judgemental which is what a child like him needs. He has also learned patience and to learn to instructions, even animal biology!
Charmaine who works with him has even started art therapy with him during his sessions. He's being taught life cycles of animals too! When I picked him up this week, Charmaine was helping him write his name and other sentences. Yes, it's farm based but there's sooo much more to this place.
He loves it here. I'm so grateful for what you have provided for him.
Not all children are made for classrooms. "

"I can't imagine the farm not being there. It's one of the only places I feel comfortable taking the boys too. They can be themselves there. I've been bringing my son since he was a baby."
