Diabetes Mellitus is a common condition in both dogs and cats and as with the human population, it’s on the rise! In this session, we’ll take a look at this disease, how to spot it, how to treat it and of course, how diet has a role to play in successful management of a diabetic patient. We’ll also cover some of the complications associated with it and help you to help your clients comply with your recommendations. After all, the life expectancy of a well-controlled diabetic shouldn’t be shorter than a healthy pet!
