Our rescheduled, exciting talk with Lieutenant Megan Oakeley will discuss the life of an Army Vet. It will take place online on Microsoft teams on Monday 21st at 5:30pm. A link will be sent out soon! We hope to see lots of you there 🐾🦮

We have an exciting talk with Veterinary Officer, Lieutenant Megan Oakeley! She will be discussing the role of a Veterinary officer in the first military working dog regiment. This will be a really interesting talk and we hope to see lots of you in lecture theatre one OR online, THIS MONDAY 14th October at 5:30pm! 🐾🦮

On Monday our committee visited St John’s Ambulance Badgers group! We taught the children about the role of vets and how to care for animals. It was a great experience and we hope to help out again in the future!

Join Surrey’s own Hanna who will be doing an online revision session covering acute and chronic pain conditions! This is will be great way to refresh our knowledge on pain conditions and a great opportunity to ask questions! 🐈🐕

Thank you to everyone who came to our ophthalmology talk last night, I hope you found it interesting and a good revision aid! 👁️🐾

Excited to announce our next talk is with Border Force National Detector Dog Team.🐶
They will be coming in to do a live demonstration with a handler and their dog, including using a scent wheel as part of their training, whilst watching detection first hand around the lecture theatre! We’ll also be learning about their daily activities and life on the border force with detection dogs!

David is an outstanding ophthalmologist with incredible knowledge and invaluable teaching! 👁️🐶

David is running an interactive ophthalmology session with us via Teams, which will focus on ophthalmic emergencies. This is a great way to facilitate our ophthalmology teaching in all years of vet school and would be so beneficial to us as future vets! 🐱🐾

Thank you to everyone who came to our wound talk yesterday evening with Amanda! 🐶🐈

Our next talk is coming up and is with Surrey’s own Cait Finnegan! Cait will be talking about common diseases in the feline patient and running through a real life case!🐈🐱🐾
