With Amira being tied up showing super Seb at Dublin Horse show and having been so consistent with her coloured pony Tidkin Talisman Emma decided we should take him to Denbigh & Flint and she would take the reins only a 12 hour round trip 🙈 ! Amira Emma must really love you to put on the Jodphur boots pulled 3rd but pulled of an amazing set show to gain 48 out of 50 and a Golden Hoys ticket 👌definitely made the 6 hour journey home better.
Huge congratulations to Vicky Holder riding Jack Holders Pippins Toby , it truly demonstrates that working hard and bouncing back after some setbacks pays off !! Badminton Grass Roots here we come 2025 👏👏👏👏👏

Rosie has been the perfect pony taking her jockey from her trusted first pony round the busiest of rings safely, rides a super dressage test, she is good to do in all respects,hacks out on busy roads , open spaces etc has also great untapped potential as a junior whp , we took her cross country schooling the other day which she absolutely loved.
She has very correct conformation, super movement coupled with the most delightful temperament

Evie Walsh also had a fantastic ride for another 2nd with Newoak Pumpkin Spice in the 123cm shp even though the heavens opened on them !

Today we headed off to BSPS area 9a with two on board!
First up was Heniarth Stand Up owned by Jane Lindsay, Emma put her joddie boots on and rode him in the novice mm’s to give him some education and he was fabulous coming home with a win and taking the overall championship!
Next up was our own stetcholt Vanity Fair ridden by Cerys to win the RIHS 148sp performing beautifully! She definitely redeemed herself from her halo slightly slipping yesterday 🙈
All was going well until we left the show ground and got 10 minutes down the road and our brakes have got stuck on the lorry! We have been here already 4 hours waiting for recovery but thankfully the transporter came for the horses and Cerys is on her way home with them! Fingers crossed we make it home before midnight!
Thank you to everyone for all their help! It’s a busy week and we could definitely have done without this but onwards and upwards!

Well the early start was definitely worth it ! So lovely to be back out at the fabulous Devon County show, although the weather wasn’t on our side making the going quite difficult we had a fabulous day for the team.
First in Rocco Lindsay with Thistledown Galaxy and a win in the 123 cm shp collecting the first Hoys ticket of 2024, followed by Cerys Holley riding our own Stretcholt Vanity Fair to head the Hoys 148cm show pony and then take the championship to gain ticket number 2, we then moved onto the minis Barkway Moonlight 2nd in the Hoys show pony lead rein gaining the top ride mark , Zara Plumer did a fabulous job in her first year off the lead with Toya Mission Accomplished being pulled top in the Hoys first ridden but sadly found the ground conditions a little testing and dropped to 3rd with the top conformation mark, last one in Posy Lindsay with the ever reliable Rowfantina Millionaire gaining a good 5th in a great class.

Before we do a big post about our Royal Windsor Week, we would just like to give a big shout out to Agatha Miller, this young lady struggles hugely with anxiety not just about riding as she loves it but in life in general and to overcome her fear and questions and what ifs to ride round Royal Windsor Horse Show in her first year off the lead made us all so proud 😊 it’s been a long journey but we got there, small steps it may seem to many people but huge to us, so for anyone out there that thinks it won’t happen be patient, after the initial go round Agatha was pulled 5th but unfortunately in her show in Agatha’s words ’m so sorry I got stuck in the mud “ and sadly broke canter then picked up a wrong leg, none of that mattered to us our goal had already been achieved, onwards and upwards and she is already asking when her next show is 🥰 a red rosette is nice but sometimes it’s about individual achievement Well done Agatha Miller 👌👏👏👏

Well it’s not all about horses in this family after returning from a day show jumping being greeted by my daughter in-law Vicky Holder clutching a trophy dating back to 1965 for winning Gundog Working test for the novice dog &novice handler class, now she really has to up her game as de- noviced at her first attempt 👌well done all that training before work has paid off !
A great day out Bsps Area 16 always a fabulous show out on grass, the day started with Virginia Russell-Woods Stage Secret a first trip out to win the novice intermediate show riding type brilliantly piloted by Cerys Holley, followed by Emma Holder and Sharon Harris’s Blimey O’Reily 3rd in the lightweight cobs then up Cerys again with our own Stretcholt Vanity Fair 3rd in the Part bred Arabs due to a slightly exuberant gallop on the go round 😂 To finish off the day Worsenden Priscilla came out for her first outing since Hoys gaining her Rihs ticket for 2024 well done team, a dry day but wow that wind was cold ! We were very much lacking in photos as had to keep hands in pockets but we did manage these three 😂
