🌸🌸 Hector’s heart surgery was over three weeks ago. As you can see he’s doing very well. He’s put on weight and his back legs are much stronger.
I don’t like him or Olive standing or walking on the settee backs, but it’s hard to keep him calm. He’s not allowed to run around much or play for three months.
We are so happy we can look forward to another few years with him. 🌸🌸

This is Cinnamon waiting for a second breakfast. My cats are so annoying, those that were fed first expect a second, when I dish out the last of the breakfasts.
They then expect to be fed when I have my breakfast. Then they want more every time I’m in the kitchen like doing the dogs lunch etc. Some won’t leave the kitchen for fear of missing out!
Are any of your cats as greedy? 😂😂😂

🌸🌸 Hector update: Hi everyone, Hector came home yesterday after nine days in Hospital. He seems to be very well, just subdued, thin and a bit wobbly on his back legs.
The difficult part will be to keep him very quite for three months and quite for a further couple of months! 🌸🌸

🌸🌸 HECTOR UPDATE: Ian went to see Hector today as I am on midwifery duties.
He hadn’t been eating much but ate a bowl of chicken and rice with Ian. Then Ian was able to take him for a short walk.
He is still on anticoagulants and is doing well. 🌸🌸

🌸🌸 Hi everyone, it’s Hector here. Thank you for all of your good wishes.
My mummy is here for a little while. I was moved out of ICU this morning and all of my my needles came out. I’m d***y from my strong painkillers but my scan was good and showed no clots.
I just ate a crumb of cheese from my mummy because I hadn’t eaten since before my surgery.

HECTOR in hospital update:
Hector’s surgery yesterday went well technically. His heart was put on by- pass, to enable them to work on it, but it started again nicely. Eventually, he was then taken to ICU.
They are going to start taking monitoring equipment off him and try to get him to move about a bit.
He’s not out of the woods yet but so far so very good!
I cannot believe how brave he is, we are so proud of him. What a wee trooper!

We are just back from leaving Hector at the hospital for his huge surgery tomorrow morning. He looked so tiny in the tall vets arms as we left him! 💕💕💕

Hector ( left) is a bit miffed and knows something is going on.
He’ll have a bath this afternoon before we head off to the Queen Mother RVC hospital for his major open heart surgery tomorrow morning.
His poorly heart will be put on by pass while they repair his mitral heart valve.

Huge day for Hector ( left) . We are just setting off for the Queen Mother Hospital for his pre op check. He will be admitted this Monday with his major surgery on Tuesday. Good luck our darling boy.

🌸🌸 What an amazing show weekend. What great company, many faces of which I hadn’t seen for a long time.
My cats were amazing, the Lykoi Se Ri, got many merits and the Sphynx Gigi, did well to get four finals over the weekend in a strong and large class of adult Sphynx.

🌸🌸I took Chester to the vet for a booster yesterday. He needed a bath before going, during which he screamed the place down, and was trying to get away. Most of the water had got out so there I was trying to wash him in about five centimetres of water.
He was then surprisingly quiet in the car and purred so much at the vets that she couldn’t listen to his heart properly. He has a clean bill of health. What a (noisy) character! 😂😂🌸🌸

🌸🌸 What a fabulous day out we had on Saturday. Thank you so much to all concerned!
My Sphynx Da Li achieved four strong finals and Lykoi, Harry, also achieved four strong finals. It was Harry’s first show and he was quite shy to start with but he chilled as the day went on!
It’s always lovely to see my friends that I really only get to see at shows.
It was a great fun, well run show with a great public turn out! 🌸🌸

🌸🌸 The babies are three and a half weeks old now. All are doing very well.
I was not so happy with one baby’s weight gain so I weaned them, at just under three weeks old. Such early weaning is a first for me!
The red and white boyis eating on his own. I just hold his saucer for him. The two dark girls are being spoon fed.
They still have an unlimited milk bar! 🌸🌸

Baby update: Both babies are now doing really well. They're playing, exploring and feeding well. Trouble is they won't entertain any solids yet and just want me to feed them. The miaowing in the background is the red boy waiting impatiently for his feed!
