Sharing a message on behalf of the RSPCA Guildford and Epsom branch:

They are looking for a foster carer for a lovely cat called Winston. He is sweet and gentle in nature, however, he has diabetes which requires strict control over his feeding and insulin injection schedule. The injections need to be twice daily around 12 hours apart. The RSPCA will cover all of his food and medications as well as manage his veterinary treatment. They are looking for a foster home where he can be cared for while they seek a new permanent home for him.

Little Indi has been missing from the Merrow Park area since Saturday night. It is very unusual for him to be gone this long. He is a silver tabby around 9 months old. He is microchipped and is wearing a blue collar and bell.

Please check any sheds/outbuildings/gardens.

⚠️HAS NOW BE REUNITED WITH OWNER⚠️

We have had a stray kitten brought to the clinic this morning found in the Bellfields area.

He is a young (only maybe 3-4 months old), un-neutered male with white and ginger fur. Images are attached. He has no microchip.

🌾⚠️BEWARE OF GRASS SEED SEASON!⚠️🌾

With summer now upon us, we have had an increasing number of patients with grass seeds. Grass seeds can be an issue as they track and get stuck in areas such as ears👂, eyes👀 and paws🐾.

Signs that your pet may have a grass seed are:
- Licking/chewing paws
- Head shaking and ear irritation
- Eye irritation

The Merrow Downs and areas around Sutherland Memorial Park are particularly bad at the moment so be extra vigulant and make sure to throughoughly check your dogs over
after they have been walked. Brushing can help remove grass seeds and debris stuck in the coat, but checking between paws is also recommended.

If you suspect your pet may have a grass seed, it is important to get them checked out by a vet as they can track to other areas of the body and cause abscess' and infection. Removal of these grass seeds, often requires sedation.
