This is Tiggy, a gorgeous 6 month old kitten in for her weight check today! she was absolutely loving all the attention from everyone, we just had to take a photo of her rolling around and enjoying strokes 😍

We have had a big male tabby and white stray cat handed into us last week. He is fine in himself and is microchipped but none of the contact details are up to date. He was found around the Guildford area.

Some of our clients have told us that their dog grooming providers are now offering "ultrasonic tooth cleaning".
Dentistry (if performed by using an ultrasonic dental scaler specifically) should not be performed on dogs or cats without anaesthesia, and we want to make owners aware of this distinction while agreeing to services. There are significant health risks in scaling a pet's teeth without appropriate veterinary training.
Cleaning the teeth properly with an ultrasonic scaler is an act of veterinary surgery and can only legally be performed by your veterinary team. Allowing someone to carry out anaesthesia free dentistry on your pet could be regarded as failing to safeguard the welfare of your pet. The welfare of animals is protected under law by the Animal Welfare Act.

This is Loki 😍

Loki came in for a dental scale and polish procedure recently to make sure his teeth were super clean and healthy 😁 Before coming in, Loki was extremely nervous and worried, so we tried implementing some cuddle clinics with the nurses to try and ease his nerves.

Cuddle clinics are sessions that the nurses provide in order to bond with our patients, give them lots of fuss and treats, and to show them that the vets isn’t always so scary!

Not only did this help Loki when it was his time to come in for his procedure, but this also massively helped our team in getting him done and home back to mummy as soon as possible 💙
