The Risers Soap Box Derby returns on……
1st June 2024.

We will be running a workshop at the end of April for anyone wishing to attend, we’ll have tips, tools and swapping of any spares to get your cart off to a flying start.

This is a family fun event which promises lots of laughs, great company, live music and entertainment, pop it in your diary!

Oh thank you 😊.
The new council license inspector, was very strict and demanding. But I think it’s good to know they’re checking all our procedures in looking after the dogs, cleaning, disinfecting and paperwork is in order.
I’m so glad we passed. I couldn’t do this without the help from my husband Al.
All the extras added to our home, helped us to achieve the 5 stars certificate for daycare and boarding.
Camera security and monitors.
Double entrance gates. Secure anti digging mesh surrounding the garden fence, to help to make the garden more secure from dogs escaping from the garden.
Cleaning and disinfecting all the home floors and wall areas, bedding, toys and bowls.
And have an emergency isolation room for sick dogs.
And of course all our well behaved daycare and boarding lovely dogs. Which I love walking and cuddling up with.

Can you help the police with their enquiries? 🧐
Mounted police officer Matthew Holt has asked if we could help with their recruitment drive. Even though it sounds like a dream job to many of us, it can sometimes be tricky to recruit guys into the mounted branch, as many haven't ridden before and a good level of riding is required as part of the selection.
Did you learn to ride as an adult? Can you offer any tips or words of wisdom that the branch can use in their recruitment presentation? Could you share them with us, and any pictures too?
We are so pleased to be asked to help and would love to be able to inspire some guys to give it a go. We know you are out there (yes Chris and Will - we are looking at you!).

Ooooh can’t wait.

Here it is!!! As most of you know, we at The Riser love a party and especially a fancy dress one. We’ve left this years theme open to interpretation as we know what a creative bunch you are.

18-month-old Tank is like a very large bull in a china shop! 😂💛
He loves to be with people, he has a sensitive side and can be very worried by new places and things. Despite his butch appearance - Tank just loves to cuddle. When he's had a long day of exploring and training, he likes to snuggle up - or will happily retire to his bed with a treat or two. 💛
Help with Tanks ongoing training will be available from the team at the centre throughout Tank's adoption and beyond. He does need to be the only dog at home but can have some on-lead interactions with calm and well-mannered friends, once settled. 🐶

This is so important, it help people to smile and feel so much better.

Loki makes regular visits to her local hospital’s ICU. 🏥

Last week, she assisted with physical rehab of a stroke patient encouraging her to use her left hand and assisted with speech therapy by encouraging patients to give her verbal commands. 🐾

The work Loki and the rest of the does is extremely important and valuable, and can sometimes go beyond bringing comfort and smiles. 🌟
