CXC is set within 120 acres of our 300 acre farm in the heart of the glorious Sussex countryside. It has easy access off the A271 with plenty of parking and turning space. CXC has a wide variety of over 250 quality jumps built to BE specifications including skinnies, water, banks, steps, 7 corners, combinations on related strides, chase fences, etc. It has been designed by BE Platinum Designer and

London 2012 course builder Scott Brickell. We offer a wide selection of extremely well built portable and permanent jumps on excellent going with great ground cover. Many of the jumps are very similar to those found on local BE courses and there is an ever-increasing number of Mitsubishi Motors Cup fences as found at the Badminton Grassroots Championships. CXC is a training ground, designed so that horses and riders grow in confidence as they build up their experience over a progression of jumps. Riders can choose to educate their horses over a selection of similar jumps, building up from simple training ditches, for example, to rail/ditch/ fence combinations and trakehners, thus establishing all-important confidence in their training. A rider can also chose a selection of jumps to string together to jump as a course, thus offering a range of training opportunities. In addition, we have full courses at 50-60, 70, 80,90,100 and 1.05-1.10. CXC is an excellent facility for trainers as different types of jumps are concentrated into specific areas and allow coaches to teach easily. Again, as jumps build up in size and technical difficulty different aspects of cross-country riding can be taught. Jumps range from 40cm to 1.20 and there truly is something for everyone! We also have a full set of FEI show jumps and grass and all weather dressage arenas. We offer clinics and camps, and our facilities are open to hire by Pony Clubs, Riding Clubs and trainers. Please give us a call to discuss your requirements.

From the moment the hand touches the body you are asking the question
And there is always an answer, sometimes so subtle it’s only a whisper…..
But every horse deserves to be heard
We just need to learn how to listen

If you’ve been to one of my massage workshops you will have heard me describe equine massage as a conversation with your horse. It’s an incredibly bonding experience and beneficial for your horse both physically and mentally. Not only are you helping your horse feel at their best but it keeps you in touch with what’s going on with their bodies too, its also seriously addictive 💚
If youve ever attended a massage workshop I’d love to hear how you’re getting on , and if you’d like to learn just send me a message.

You have the power !
Every horse owner can help their horse relax, release tension and help build the bond that they share. It doesn’t have to be technical or flashy, but learning a few techniques can ensure you reduce the potential of injury and keeps you up to date with how your horse is feeling and how you might need to help.
At the LEARN EQUINE MASSAGE workshop you will learn a body massage using various techniques, you will also learn if they are good to do before or after exercise, and gain an understanding of why!
We discuss anatomy, in connection to what’s happening under the skin and how problems can occur. Most importantly we chat about your horse in relation to the massage routine and how it can be best adapted to suit your individual horse and their needs.
If your New Year’s resolution was to elevate your horses care then get in touch.

Fantastic FASCIA - did you know ?
🐎Fascia has 6-10 more sensory receptors than muscle.
🐎Fascia is more sensitive than muscle
🐎Fascia is the largest sensory feedback organ
🐎The brain receives feedback from fascia (on average) 3x faster than any other sensory input that’s second only to sight.
🐎It provides around 30% of any muscle movement.
🐎Many injuries blamed on sore muscles are in fact fascia injury
🐎Fascia easily re models itself adjusting to injury and compensation or re training as in rehab.

Our Story

CXC is set within 100 acres of our 300 acre farm in the heart of the glorious Sussex countryside. It has easy access off the A271 with plenty of parking and turning space. CXC has a wide variety of over 200 quality jumps built to BE specifications including skinnies, water, banks, steps, 6 corners, combinations on related strides, chase fences, etc. It has been initially designed by BE Platinum Designer and London 2012 course builder Scott Brickell, who also designs local courses such as Eridge, Chilham and Brightling, and latterly designed by Graham Payne and Louie Saunders. Built by Sussex Courses, who trained with Scott, it offers a selection of extremely well built portable and permanent jumps. We offer various courses so that a rider can jump around the fields choosing courses at 50/60cm, 70, 80, 90, 100, 105, 1.10 and a few intermediate fences and questions.

Many well-known and leading trainers regularly coach at CXC, including BE trainers Cindy Llewellyn , Penny Sangster, Sam Champney-Warrener, ex-Irish Olympic trainer Nick Turner, 4* and Olympic rider Gemma Tattersall, GB team selector and Bronze Medalist at the World Games Nigel Taylor, Badminton rider Tom Crisp as well as many eminent local event riders such as Sam Jennings and Sam Penn. We have also hosted many PC and RC training days and clinics for Wobblebarries and British Eventing.

We offer special rates for Pony Club, Riding Club and clinics, so trainers are welcome to contact us to discuss their needs and ideas. We can also offer whole packages with dressage arenas, a show jumping course and cross country training. We have even provided lunch for clinics! Come and stay with B and B in our lovely medieval house whilst your horse enjoys the facilities and excellent hacking at the farm. CXC is an excellent facility for trainers as different types of jumps are concentrated into specific areas and allow coaches to teach easily. Again, as jumps build up in size and technical difficulty different aspects of cross-country riding can be taught. Jumps range from 30cm to 1.20m and there truly is something for everyone!
