Now 13 weeks and growing up very quickly.
She's been a lovely easy pup so far, keen to learn and a nice pup to have in the home.
A friend puppy sat her yesterday while we was in London and said what a lovely puppy she is.

Daisy on channel 4 Friday after handling Sail in the young handlers ring. Sail is our Novas sire owned by friends of ours, he did amazing with Daisy.

Nova and Rory share the same dam from Cwmddraig and Linddraig Gundogs Novas sire is FTW Jogolo Sail OWNED by Godfrey and Lucie Lowe. Rorys sire is the lovely Astraglen Olly Of Longcopse who's sire is the prolific FTCH Longcopse Bertie.
Both have impressive pedigrees with many well known FTCHs, but work very differently to each other, Rory is a powerhouse who will battle any cover, Nova is softer but still works lovely and has an immense want to please her handler.
Really can't wait to see what she produces for me, we have matched her to a stud that we believe will compliment her nicely while keeping an impressive pedigree behind the pups.

Last week we had a live game training day on the beautiful South downs.
The terrain was hard going at times, with 9 miles walked and sometimes having to walk quite fast to ensure the game didn't move on.
Nova though was such a good girl and really tried her upmost.
Making the most of the training we have left before her season comes and mating take place
She really is the perfect companion both at home and in the field
Successful mating this morning between Rory and Betty.
Betty is bred by the lovely Henry Carney at Twicebrewed Twines a lovely darker yellow bitch of impeccable breeding.
These will make fabulous working dogs or active pets.
Based in Stafford

Litter planned for the new year 🐕
Nova is going to be visiting the very handsome Brae owned by Laura Hill. Brae is now as of this year a FTW. Nova we hope to get a run in a trial soon 🙏
Both parents of course fully health tested which can be seen on kennel club website (Nova has a new eye test booked for 9th October)
Nova is a calm, biddable and friendly dog who only ever wants to please. Picking up dog on shoots from September onwards on a variety of game.
We are expecting all shades of yellow in this litter.
I am now opening up my waiting list for active and working homes!
I myself will be keeping one from this litter and both guide dogs uk and sussex police have also shown interest in the litter.
Mating likely to take place Janaury with puppies due March and ready for new homes in May.
Puppies will of been introduced to the whistle, started toilet training and be used to all household noises, other animals etc.

A fantastic morning with our first young handlers training day!
The children learnt the importance of the basics involved in gundog training as well as retrieves on land and over water!
They also played some games to win bags of haribo!
Thank you to trainer Vicky at Quincegrove Working English Springers for your fun lesson for the kids as well as fun games!
Also we must thank Sporting Saint - Gundog Training Equipment for the fantastic goody bags for all the children.
Also a thank you to ACME Whistles for the whistles for each child!
So lucky for such a beautiful day weather wise too!

This girl is honestly one in a million
Well done Daisy and Nova (Cwmddraig Olive At Daisycreek) for their 2nd today!
Daisy ran in junior handler, having only learnt how to stop, handle and direct Nova in the last week! So today was a challenge for her, but she didn’t give up, she didn’t cry when things didn’t go perfect. She kept going and still made sure to thank the judges, congratulate other competitors and was genuinely such a lovely, polite girl!

Nova given a clean bill of health by Companion Care Vets Eastbourne 🐾 vaccines done and as always she was perfectly behaved! Now to finish the working test season and get out trialing in winter! Then fingers crossed the pitter patter of tiny paws beginning of next year (who will also have their health checks by the fab vets)
P.S Companion care are fabulous for hip and elbow scoring, fair competitive prices and we have used for all the dogs!

Last weekend we had a fab training day at Rickneys training ground in Hertfordshire. Was a fabulous day and Nova really did me proud!
Some tough retrieves but she took everything in her stride.
Annoyingly she’s now in season but we will be hopefully back out at some working tests end of the month!
Nova is honestly the most well behaved dog, picnic with extended family at a busy woods, she didn’t put a paw out of place, spent the entire day off lead ignoring other dogs and people!
She also met my 9 month old Niece and was so gentle with her 🥰
A true all round dog! Couldn’t ask for better x

Rory on a small mark with shot yesterday, making sure his marking and steadiness are good.
There's nothing like a dog who makes you smile every time you take them out.. over a month off for him and he done superb. A lovely delayed memory in this video We have taken his training slow and steady, its not a race to get your dog trained, always train the dog in front of you to get the best from them 🙌 Fingers crossed we will get this lovely chap out competing in the next year or two 🥰
