Hi everyone,
I thought that I would take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year.
It is with a little trepidation though with which I greet the new year. Stanley, my fabulous boxer is booked in for an operation on his cruciate ligament on the 7th Jan which is going to incapacitate him for approximately 3 months. Those of you who either know him or know boxers will understand the implications of this. I spend much of my time as a trainer, teaching people about dogs. All the ups and downs of owning a very special four legged buddy and it has made me reflect on my own teaching as I try and cope with the forthcoming event. Making the correct decisions is paramount, putting your full trust into the hands of the very capable vets is paramount and keeping to the vetβs rehabilitation instructions is paramount.
Dog ownership for the best part is joyous and it gives me great pleasure in seeing that joy in the peoples faces that I work so closely with.
I really hope you all have a fantastic year full of canine fun and I hope to see many of you at our various play and stay sessions or for some 1-2-1 training
Kris
