Today marks the start of our grooming sessions for 2024-2025 here at HappyPaws@B63, and we couldn't be more excited!

Here's Vinnie enjoying his stroll around our woodland walk at the college. It's the perfect spot for the dogs to stretch their legs and relieve themselves during their grooming day.

🐾 New for This Year! 🐾

We're introducing a new approach at HappyPaws! This year, we're asking that you plan for your dogs to be with us for the entire day. There may be times when your furry friend is only needed in the morning or afternoon, but Charlotte will confirm the specific details with you when booking.

But don't worry—your pet will have plenty of wee breaks around our woodland trim trail walk here at the college. We also ensure they get some kennel rest during lunch breaks, so they'll be well cared for throughout the day.

💔 Sad Post 💔

Over the summer, we have sadly lost four of our regular customers here at HappyPaws at B63 We are deeply aware of their absence, as they were not just clients but beloved members of our fur family community. Their presence greatly contributed to our students' learning experiences, and they will be truly missed.

We want to thank you for trusting us with your beloved pets. Charlotte and the entire grooming team send our heartfelt thoughts to you during this sad time.

Saying goodbye to your furry friend is never easy 💔

It’s one of the most heartbreaking times you can experience as a pet owner. And sadly, a lot of people often underestimate the grief that comes with the loss.

It’s not unusual to experience many difficult and confusing emotions. And whilst these feelings may be very unwelcome, and leave you feeling overwhelmed, just know that they are normal and are a testimony to the special bond between you and your beloved pet.

Remember, it’s important to give yourself as much time as you need to grieve.

As we return to grooming at HappyPaws at B63 in Halesowen College, we kindly ask all pet parents to check their dogs for fleas before coming to their appointment. To help us maintain a clean and safe environment in the salon, please cancel and rebook if you notice your dog has fleas.

🌞 Keeping Your Pets Cool! 🐾

With the warmer weather set to continue this week, it's important to make sure our furry friends stay cool and comfortable. Here are some helpful tips and links to keep your pets safe in the heat:

🫗 Hydration is Key: Make sure your pets always have access to fresh, cool water.

🫠 Avoid the Midday Heat: Walk your dogs early in the morning or late in the evening when temperatures are cooler.

🥶 Create a Cool Space: Ensure your pets have a shaded area or a cool room indoors to relax in.

🍦 Cool Treats: Offer frozen treats or ice cubes for your pets to enjoy.

✂️Grooming: Regular grooming can help keep your pets' coats free of excess fur, which can trap heat.

🥵 Avoid Hot Surfaces: Pavement and sand can get very hot and burn your pets' paws. Stick to grassy areas when possible.

We are excited to announce that booking from 16th September 2024 is now open! To schedule an appointment, please email us at [email protected].

Please bare with Charlotte as we anticipate a high volume of rebooking requests. She will be in touch shortly to confirm your appointment.

Additionally, Charlotte has sent out a new contract for 2024-2025. Please take a moment to read and sign it. If you are unable to sign it beforehand, Charlotte will ask you to sign it upon your return to the salon.
