Sparkle’s owner who is in her 90’s and has Alzheimer’s can no longer look after her. All expenses i.e. food, vet bills, visits to groomers will be paid for the rest of the dog’s life.

She is a dear and much-loved 13 yr old little dog still in very good health who still enjoys trotting along on-lead for a short daily walk. Otherwise, she likes nothing better than to be curled up in her bed with her toys or following her owner around. She barks to let her owner know whenever she needs to go out or if it’s her mealtime.

At her age Sparkle would only suit a quiet household with one or two adults without children or other dogs. She is friendly towards human visitors including children but wouldn’t like other dogs coming into her home.

We have been a little quiet over the past few months!
It’s been a crazy time for us here at Comb & Collar, all our fabulous customers and their lovely doggies have been keeping us very busy.

We have been overwhelmed with the local support and customers over the past 2 Years. It has now come time for us to introduce a new groomer , this is super exciting for us to share with you.

JJ is looking to take on new customers as off NOW so please get in touch with us to book an appointment.

We will be introducing JJ to you next week , please be assured JJ is City & Guilds qualified and an award winning groomer that has 14 years within the industry.

We only want to bring the best to our clients , JJ will be the perfect fit to look after the wonderful dogs of Halesworth and the surrounding areas ☺️

Before & After 🖤

This little guy needed a little TLC and we think he loved his transformation.

He hadn’t had a groom for awhile therefore his coat was fairly compacted - we rough clip first to create shape and reduce drying time 👍🏻

My glamorous assistant Amy as always helped me to achieve this full groom by using :
professional Dirty Dog shampoo 🫧professional Original Cologne
Clippers / 7fc blade
- mixture of combs and brushes.

I also used a mixture of scissor - straights and blenders to create a natural technique groom on a pet trim 🐾

❗️FIXING BAD GROOMS❗️

This is no dig at another groomer or client .. This is a just a combination on experience, technique and skill .. I am definitely not saying I’m the best and I still feel I’m learning after all these years ☺️

The grooming world is a weird and wonderful one! Not many people realise what’s involved, but we all try our best!

I’ve explained to this client that we need to work on the coat to get it looking 100% .. I’ve worked with ALOT of clients fixing styles and coming up with maintenance programs. And trying to educate clients to achieve a great result 🐾

We have a new 6 week adolescent course starting on the 3rd of June, with Jess.
This course is aimed at addressing some of the challenges around adolescence. Maybe you feel that you’re losing your dog’s attention or that new unwanted behaviours are emerging, if so this is the course for you. Message to book a space or to arrange a chat/ visit .

A BIG appreciation post for My Amy 💜

This lady is a complete one off in more ways than one… 🤪

I have never met someone as authentic as Amy!
She’s a fantastic team player , who works so hard and supports me not only at work but my home life to!
She goes above and beyond to get us through each day at work , and shows so much love to each dog and all of our customers 💜

For me personally I don’t know what I’d do without you now, not just at work but being part of my life to!

Today was the best valentines treat with this wonderful little dog ❤️

She filled our day with joy our hearts were full ❤️❤️

She was a little wriggler , she liked cleaning our ears , was zooming around the studio , she was also deaf …. So for her first visit she did amazing and settled In perfectly ❤️😊
