Gwen the young Border Collie but she went missing on 27th December from a garden in Ripponden. She was visiting from Newcastle with her family so is unfamiliar with the area.

She has last been spotted as recently as 15th January in Sowerby and Copley.

She is still missing and probably roaming the local area? They are asking for anyone with any information or sightings to ring the phone number and also request that she isn’t approached but they are just given a location and time of the sighting. Then they can go out for her or give all the information to the tracking dogs.

Please keep your pets safe as according to the weather forcast there is going to be some thunder and lightning later on today. Alot of animals are scared of it so here are a few examples of what you could do to help - make sure you have the tv or radio on to help drown the noise out and have your curtains shut, make somewhere for them to hide and feel a safe place.

Great news.

We're delighted to announce that the bill to increase maximum sentences for animal cruelty from six months to five years has finally passed through parliament! 🎉 Blue Cross has campaigned for this law, with other animal welfare charities, for many years and we are delighted that progress has happened. This law will now send a message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated.

This little girl is missing from Sowerby Village area. Peppa is only young and isn’t microchipped yet but she was attacked by a dog last night and ran away. We are unsure what injury’s she may have sustained.

I have been driving around a lot today to vets...I have seen a lot of people walking their dogs...please don't walk your dogs in this heat, I know we all mean well but it is no good for them... keep them cool and enjoy the sun...
