The clinics are both within easy reach of mountains, beaches and the bright lights of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Dundee. Both clinics are equipped with iM3 dental machines, digital radiology and Idexx biochemistry and haematology equipment, as well as fully equipped operating theatres. There are two Clinical Directors, an experienced Vet and a 2nd year graduate. The practice has 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses who now run their own clinics, doing nail clips, post-op discharges and examinations, blood pressure monitoring and blood sampling. There are also have 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, 3 FTE Receptionists, an Animal Care Assistant and Practice Manager. They undertake a large amount of work for the local Cats Protection branch and have now started a dedicated cat clinic.

The role would suit an experienced clinician who is ready to take on more responsibilities and help to develop the skills and knowledge of more recent graduates. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team. If you are looking to specialise, they can provide that opportunity, whether you would like to study for a certificate or offer specialist services or treatments. They have varied surgical and medical caseloads and you will have clinical freedom to follow your own cases with daily opportunities for operating. They operate and consult in both sites every day so there is a varied caseload throughout the day. This is a full time role working 4.5-day week, 40 hours per week with Saturday mornings shared on an equal rota. There are no out of hours.

Salary for this role is up to £65k pa DOE, a welcome bonus of £5k and there is a relocation allowance of £7.5k if required.

Our client has two very well-established surgeries near the Lincolnshire market town of Spalding, both of which have a loyal client base of well over 20 years. They are now looking for a Joint Clinical Director to join the team.

Close to the historic town of Stamford where you can visit Burghley House, Burghley Horse Trials, or Rutland Water, and Peterborough is approximately half an hour away with direct train lines into London. Both practices are equipped with digital radiography (recently purchased and upgraded to DR system), ultrasounds, endoscope, and in-house blood testing equipment. There are also have good-sized theatres and consult rooms for varied first opinion cases.

The friendly team comprises of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Nursing Assistants, and a full team of Receptionists. The Vets will always talk through all options of care with clients to ensure they are making the most informed choices, and they work closely with various referral practices to be able to offer that option if required.

Whether you are an experienced Clinical Director or experienced vet with drive, initiative and are looking to take the next step in your career, they would love to hear from you. This role will be a joint role working alongside the existing Clinical Director across two practices. You will be joining a well-established team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons.

The successful candidate will work closely with the existing Clinical Director, Practice Manager and Head Nurse supporting and mentoring colleagues and setting clinical & professional objectives to achieve best practice in colleague, patient, and client care. You will undertake a clinical role including surgery and consultations and play a crucial role in steering the practice towards excellence and growth together with the senior leadership team. You will be responsible for the financial performance of the practice and to company policies and procedures and promote this within the team.

They are in the fortunate position to be able to offer a mix of rotas to accommodate all working patterns. If you are looking to work a 3, 4 or 5 day week they can accommodate although for this role would require a minimum of 30 hours per week. The full-time rota is 40 hours per week across 4 days, with 1:5 Saturdays 8:30am – 12pm. No bank holiday or out-of-hours are involved as these are covered by VetsNow.

Our client based near Durham is looking for a Lead Vet to join, motivate and develop amazing team.

This role will be to provide leadership, management, mentorship and support for clinical staff and work in partnership with the Company Directors, Clinic Manager & Head Nurse to optimise services to clients and patients, in order to develop the business by maximising turnover and productivity. You will be responsibility for clinical and behavioural standards within the practice, ensuring they are in line with the RCVS code of professional conduct. You will deliver and maintain the highest standards of governance in relation to clinical meetings, CPD, clinical development planning and creating clinical protocols / frameworks, clinical audits and recording of unexpected clinical events, in conjunction with Company Directors, Clinic Manager & Head Nurse. Mor importantly you will provide appropriate surgical and medical care to patients, adhering to the RCVS five principles of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing People
- Role model clinical excellence through your own active development plan.
- Role model excellent client services, making sure all the practice team know the importance of delivering “excellence every day” and the consequence if this is not done.
- Ensure complaints procedure is understood by the whole team, with all client concerns addressed in a fair and timely manner, in conjunction with Company Directors and Clinic Manager.
- Lead clinical development and training of all staff.
- Hold regular clinical team meetings in order to encourage group learning, and create agreed clinical frameworks to ensure the delivery of clinical excellence, which is consistent between all staff.
- Know and understand the competition to ensure we attract and retain key people, and actively talent spot both internally and externally for key roles, keeping recruitment costs to a minimum.
- Actively encourage communication, sharing news and updates etc.

Setting Direction
- Along with Company Directors, Clinic Manager & Head Nurse, coordinate and support regular practice and department meetings following up on any points raised.
- Deliver client satisfaction.
- Promote a culture of learning from critical and unexpected incidents, through a no blame culture, ensuring protocols are in place, and followed up with an individual training plan where necessary, in conjunction with the Company Directors, Clinic Manager & Head Nurse.
- Alongside Clinic Manager and Head Nurse, manage, report, and monitor team time keeping.
- Ensure all staff use PPE and radiation badges appropriately and are responsible for compliance within the local rules.
- Liaise with the RCVS in a professional manner as required and ensure that the practice is fully prepared to pass the RCVS inspection if / when due.
- Ensure robust processes are in place, to control access to dangerous drugs to only those who should have access. Take measures to ensure recording of dangerous drugs is accurate and compliant, making clear the consequences of failure to do so.
- Understand and adhere to all RCVS and VMD regulations in relation to the storage, administration and dispensing of all categories of veterinary medicine. Ensure compliance with the Practices preferred drugs list via liaising with Company Directors.

This is a full time tole for 4 days per week and Saturday mornings on 1: rota. In relation to time set aside for admin / mentoring etc. this would be given over 2 days (e.g. two half days), however this is not necessarily fixed, and can be flexible (for example this could be one full day, or managed as business needs require). Ideally you will like someone who is willing to train in keyhole surgery, specifically Laparotomy Spay's (if not already competent in this area). Otherwise they are also open to support areas of interest / certificates, such as orthopaedics.

The client would like someone who can respond and contribute positively to changes made and ensure understanding of the reasons behind decisions; take an active role in change implementation. You will deliver a high standard of customer service and respond to complaints in accordance with the complaints protocol, in conjunction with Clinic Manager & Company Directors.

Our client is based near Walsall and are growing and are now looking for a full or part time Small Animal Vet to join them.

The practice has great facilities including 3 consult rooms, cat ward, dog ward, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and access to endoscope if needed. Working alongside the wonderful nurse team, there are 2 vets who have been qualified for 7 years. They hold the ISFM silver award for cat care. One vet has a post graduate certificate and another in Feline medicine. Within practice they also have SignalPet which uses artificial intelligence to provide support interpreting radiographs. The team work at the highest standard of care and have regular team meetings to help them to all grow and improve their knowledge. They are looking at increasing the amount of nurse consults that they preform, like weight clinics and diabetic clinics. The nurses are very knowledgeable with a few certificates between them, these include ECC, Ncert in medicine, Fear Free cert, Ncert in consulting and the ISFM qualification. The team have regular outings and wellness days, are very friendly and easy to get along with. There are always regular snacks in the kitchen and an Alexa for music in prep and you will regularly hear the team singing along.

The client is flexible in what they can offer and are open to a role that will suit you and your clinical interests. They are keen to ensure that all of their clinical staff’s development is including full certificate support for those that wish to undertake it. Also, vets with less clinical experience are encouraged to apply as they have the resources to allow you to grow as a clinician. Although this advert is for a full-time position, they would consider any flexible working request and part time hours for the right candidate. A typical full-time role would involve working 40 hours per week over 4 days, with our shared Saturday rota. There’s no on call or out of hours required.

The team is currently 14 day vets, a dedicated admin team, 10 Veterinary Nurses, most of which hold extra qualifications. They will support your every need, and as they are a training practice they are grown to fully understand how the hospital works. They have certificate holders in ECC, ophthalmology and 2 in surgery and many of the nurses have advanced qualifications as well.
They have dental X-rays, separate soft tissue and orthopaedic theatres, the facilities for laparoscopic spays, ultrasound and endoscopy room and even an operating microscope.

They are RCVS accredited, have gold cat friendly status and have a purpose built practice with all the equipment need to provide all round routine health care and surgeries. The team have extensive experience with one vet holding a certificate in emergency care and another with a strong interest in exotics, particularly rabbits.

The role is full time (40 hours a week) but carries NO out of Hours, although the practice does offer OOH’s care to their clients. Shifts work from 9-6.30 with Saturday mornings on a rota.

They are seeking a dedicated Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with at least 3 years of experience to join the team. Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time hours, they can accommodate your needs, including working around childcare obligations.
