Boxermeets.co.uk Trek For Transplant
Is about a group of Boxer Dog owners coming together, to raise money for the Oxford Transplant Foundation, & to raise awareness of the importance of Organ Donation & the importance of people sharing their wishes with loved ones regarding Organ Donation.
A percentage of proceeds raised will also be donated to a Boxer Dog rescue/ charity too. (Yet to be confirmed)
Our mission is to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest single breed group dog walk, a record currently held by Beaglelandia & set on April 22 2018, the number of dogs set by them & is our target to beat is 1,029 dogs! We as a Boxer community are going to try & beat that WORLD Record. For those of you that don't already know who we are & what we're about, We are a FB group that are passionate about the Boxer breed, we arrange meet-ups in the form of walks, share help, advice & information to anyone wanting any information with all things Boxer, we also try & do as much as possible to try & help the Boxer community in general & help raise funds if & where needed to help the breed (rescues etc) we also like to help individuals with special causes if & whenever possible.
So.. We have been approached with this idea, & are planning on coming together with other like minded Boxer Dog Groups to attempt to break this the World Record For The Largest Single Breed Group Dog Walk . We're doing this to raise vital funds for the Oxford Transplant Foundation, & to also help raise awareness of the importance of organ donation, Transplant, & people sharing their wishes regarding organ donation. We're doing this as we at Boxermeets was approached by Ricky Moate the owner of the Lovely Ollie-Wally, he received a Small Intestine & Abdominal Wall Transplant in June 2018, & he would like to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of his transplant as this is the 1st critical milestone in itself post Transplant, by raising vital funds for the Oxford Transplant Foundation, 1 of only 2 adult uk centres in that do Intestinal Transplantation, the funds raised will enable the Centre to continue to develop further research, buy
