Donaldson's Vets

Donaldson's Vets It is a Tier 2 RCVS accredited practice ensuring our facilities and staff training are up to modern standards. If this is an issue please get in touch.

The practice was established in 1985 by Chris and Eleanor Dale with the aim of providing high quality veterinary treatment for domestic pets within a personal and caring environment. This is a voluntary quality assurance scheme, involving a rigorous inspection of the practice carried out by a veterinary inspector appointed by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. We care deeply about our patie

nts, and are committed to ensuring they receive the treatment and attention we would expect our own pets to receive. We also offer a speedy and efficient referral service for colleagues dealing with problem skin cases. Facilities are available for the investigation and treatment of all types of skin disease including intradermal skin testing. A full written history, or a copy of the clinical notes, is required as are all relevant laboratory reports. Ideally treatment should be withdrawn at least 7 days before the first appointment. Referring veterinary surgeons are sent a prompt written report after each examination.

Bonfire Night 🔥🔥🔥

Before you ignite your fire, take a moment to carefully inspect the area for any wildlife that might have made it their home, particularly hedgehogs. 🦔

Remember, when hedgehogs are scared, they curl into a ball, instead of running away. Use a torch to carefully inspect the ground around the fire pit, especially near the base, listening for any signs of movement that might indicate animals are close by.

When it’s time to light the fire, light one side only to give any wildlife a chance to escape safely.

As the fire goes down, the warm embers can be inviting to wandering cats and wildlife—and no one wants an accidental burn! By ensuring that all remnants of your fire are completely extinguished, you’re playing a crucial part in protecting pets and local wildlife from harm.

Wishing you a safe and enjoyable bonfire night! 🔥
