Born from a love of horses and a commitment to their well-being, Steol emerged when Pete’s wife, Eleanor, required a structure to provide shelter for her three horses on their hilltop property. The design brief was simple, to offer protection from the changeable weather, to be safe, and to be easily moved from field to field. Pete stepped in to create the ideal solution, utilising tubular steel fr

amework sections, which are bolted together onto skids to create a lightweight yet strong structure, shrouded in steel box section roofing sheets and strong timber boarding as standard. The shelter can be easily moved with a 4x4 vehicle/compact tractor or easily dismantled. This initial concept proved to be very effective and caught the eye of a friend who expressed a desire for a similar shelter. Pete duly obliged, more orders followed, and thus Steol came into existence. As Steol evolves, we are expanding the portfolio to offer different design specifications to cater for different requirements. Each shelter is built to protect your horses from the typical British weather, allowing them to live out for more months of the year and saving you money in the long term. New Steol Mobile Field Shelter 4m x 3m

Steol Mobile Field shelter 4m x 3m. 2.4m high at highest point (front) and 2.1m at the lowest point (back).

Steel box frame/skids, box profile sheets to roof and back wall. Pressure treated Yorkshire boarded side panels. Side panels are full depth front to back (picture shows slim option which fits through an 8ft gate).

As our field shelters are mobile, it is advisable to anchor them to the ground, paying particular attention to the open side. They should be positioned with the low back towards the prevailing wind, better still up against a wall to add extra protection. The owner is responsible for ground anchoring...

Positioning your field shelter -

As our field shelters are mobile it is advisable to anchor them to the ground, paying particular attention to the open side. They should be positioned with the low back towards the prevailing wind, better still up against a wall or solid area to add extra protection.

Recommended ground fixings -

As Steol Field Shelters do not provide the ground fixings for your shelter, you will be responsible for sourcing adequate ground anchoring and ensuring the shelter is secured safely to the ground.
