Your dog lives with us as part of our family and is allowed to do whatever he/she is allowed to do in their own home. We can guarantee that your pet will never be left "home alone", We treat them as our own, loving and caring for them whilst you have your well deserved break.

Yesterday Lucy & Fozzy came for their usual daycare. Fozzy was pleased to see Lolly and they played for awhile. Then when Uncle Philip came in to sort out the door, he was very much the focus of attention! He did stop long enough to take this photo though!

It seemed really strange last evening with no dogs and even stranger this morning, sleeping in until 8:30! Arnie came for daycare yesterday and we had lots of cuddles. Philip managed to get this really good photo of him. Today is guest free, so paperwork will be the order of the day. Have a good one. X

Due to the weather, Zebedee’s family decided to come home a day earlier, so he is going home soon, leaving just Arnie for daycare. So tonight I will have my first dog free night in quite some time! Although I must be honest, when it’s just Zeb , he curls up between the pillows and doesn’t move,so I hardly notice he’s there.

Nora came yesterday for her usual daycare and after having a frantic morning playing with Watson, she settled down in her favourite place for a rest. Then her much loved Uncle Philip appeared and managed to get this really lovely photo of her.

Watson aka The Trip Hazard is going home later today, leaving just Zebedee boarding. He’ll love this. He likes the company of others but he loves the one to one, snuggling up on the sofa with Uncle Philip, sleeping between the pillows on Auntie Val’s bed or just stretched out having a big yawn on a pouffe as this photo shows.

With Christmas and New Year now behind us, thoughts turn to holidays. As I always say, spaces are limited, so please book your pets in as early as possible to avoid disappointment, especially if you require the School holidays. I am away the first week in July and will also be taking more time off to ‘recharge my batteries’. It’s always worth a phone call to check especially in an emergency or last minute, because if we can help, we will. Regular clients will have been notified of the slight price increase. I’m sorry that I had to do this, but it was necessary. Thank you all for your continued love and support. Happy New Year to you all xx

As we welcome a New Year, Philip & I would just like to thank all clients, old and new for continuing to trust us with their precious pets. Many of you have become very dear and treasured friends. We look forward to welcoming you all again in 2025. However, as I say every year, spaces are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. Also, please note that this year I will be taking a Summer break and so will be unavailable from the 6th July for one week. So my current guests, Watson Luna & Zebedee would like to join Philip & I in wishing you all a very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year ###

I finally, (taken by me) got a not very good photo of Watson, aka The Trip Hazard! Like most spaniels, he is obsessed with food. He’s still quite young at not quite three, loves a cuddle, but does things very much his own way. He is very playful and while Zebedee mostly ignores him, Rocky has joined in the fun and mayhem.

Zebedee returned for his New Year break and wasn’t too sure when he encountered Watson, the spaniel who we have renamed The Trip Hazard as he has the ability to be everywhere, but especially under your feet! No photos of him yet as he is seldom still long enough. They quite happily shared my bed and all was well.

As I’m sure you will recall, Philip made me a footstool as part of my presents because although I have two big pouffes, the guests always seem to utilise them, leaving me with my legs dangling! Yesterday, Jaxon came for an overnight and made full use of them and yes, left me in a very ungainly position! Philip was concerned for the fate of the footstool!

Lolly had company yesterday in the shape of Ziggy and Teddy who came for daycare. Ziggy is a regular visitor but for her companion, Teddy, apart from his meeting, it was his first visit. His Mum is Ziggy’s Grandma who was here on a visit. Ziggy wasted no time and quickly showed Teddy the ropes and having all met at the weekend, they settled down together. We had a lovely day. Today is Lolly’s last full day and she will be joined by Watson & Jaxon. Not sure how she’ll like that! The photo shows them ‘helping’ me with my lunch!

We spent a lovely day yesterday with little Lolly who had no idea it was Christmas, but was totally fascinated by the wrapping paper coming off the presents. She spent most of the day on my lap, snoring! She’s a lovely affectionate, somewhat noisy little French Bulldog who only started coming to us a few months ago when her owners adopted her.She’s very quickly found her way into our hearts as so many of our guests do. I expect today will be spent in much the same way as yesterday. Have a good Boxing Day.

Cheese is going home later today after her holiday with us. She might be an elderly lady now, but not much else has changed! She graciously allows Philip to carry her upstairs at bedtime, carefully placing her on the bed. In the mornings I do the reverse. When we’re not watching, she scampers up them like a two year old! She has her favourite place on the chaise and woe betide anyone else who tries to get there. She’ll be happy to see her Dad later on and we shall miss her. I will get my bed to myself but miss her burrowing down under the covers. Here she is with Lolly and a barely visible Maisie.

Lucy & Fozzy came for daycare yesterday and Cheese forgot her advancing age, chasing him & Maisie round the dining room. Lolly watched from her bed whilst Lucy just ignored it all. After they went home all went quiet as they were shattered and Philip managed to get this photo of a totally exhausted Cheese!

Yesterday was a much quieter day, guest wise, so I was able to catch up with my paperwork. The girls joined me and Philip got this photo of them ‘helping’!

Yesterday proved to be a busy mad one! Milo the dachshund came for daycare and Cheese forgot her advanced age and chased him round and round the dining room. Both had a wonderful time, but the noise was quite something. Maisie had her usual fascination with Rocky’s ears so he sought sanctuary under my desk while the overnighters Cola & Poppy settled on opposite ends of the settee and just observed. Not much chance for photos! However, later on, Philip did manage to get this one of Poppy resting on him. Hopefully today will be a little quieter!
