Myrtle to her delight was joined yesterday by Archie, Darcy & Betty. All had been before, so settling in time was minimal. Archie was very taken by Betty who is a consumate flirt and they slept side by side with chaperone Darcy watching on.

Myrtle arrived yesterday for her weekend visit. Her Dad said that when he gets her bag out she gets really excited because she knows she’s coming to stay. She was the only guest so really enjoyed the one to one. When she decides to give you a cuddle, you definitely cannot move! However, there are worse things than being held captive by her! X

Yesterday I was joined by my usual Thursday daycares. Rocky & Maisie are good friends and very happy in each others company. Maisie torments him and he appears to enjoy every minute. They both love a cuddle which I am happy to supply and yesterday was no exception. Luckily Philip was around to capture this lovely photo.

Ziggy is going home later today, Leaving me guest free tonight. Today she will be joined by Fozzy who will be delighted to have someone new to play with, Lucy & Nora. I will miss her tonight as she snuggles up on the bed but then doesn’t move until morning. Last evening she made herself very comfortable on the top of the chaise and Philip managed to get this not very ladylike photo.

Ziggy loves laying on my lap of an evening, usually pinning me down. Last night was no exception and luckily Philip was around to get this gorgeous photo.

Just Ziggy and I today. She likes the one to one attention but always gets very animated if a new person appears! Not so bothered about a new dog! Here she is enjoying the comfort of my super kingsized bed.

Yesterday, Ziggy was joined for a short while by Nora who came for a bit of daycare. They raced around the garden together but when they came in, Ziggy claimed her spot on my lap as if it so say’my Auntie Val’. Nora just took up her favoured usual position, on top of the chaise. Both then went off to sleep.

Yesterday’s usual daycares Rocky & Maisie we’re joined by little Max. They had all met last week. Rocky, after an initial flurry of activity, sought sanctuary under a warm radiator while Maisie and Max alternated between running around play fighting and a kissathon. When we came through for lunch, Philip managed to get this photo. Xx

Lucy & Fozzy came for their usual daycare yesterday and much to Fozzy’s delight, Maisie arrived to play. They barely stopped to draw breath until around mid afternoon! After Maisie went home, both Lucy & Fozzy snuggled down for a little sleep. Prior to that, Philip managed to get this photo X

I am curiously guest free today, so as it’s George’s birthday I thought I would share this fabulous photo of him. He’s been poorly recently, but hopefully, is now on his way to a full recovery. Have a happy birthday sweetheart and hope to see you again soon. Much love ###x

Jaxon went home yesterday morning and I was guest free. Today is the 6th Birthday of George, who belongs to my dear friend. He comes to stay with us and back in the Summer Philip got this wonderful photo of him looking absolutely furious. We don’t know why, probably because there weren’t any treats on offer. I love it and him. Happy Birthday George. Look forward to seeing you and your lovely Mum. ###

After doing the jobs I had to do in the morning, yesterday afternoon, the girls and I relaxed. I read one of my Christmas books while Poppy made sure that I stayed put by holding my legs captive. One of us was comfortable!

Cola and Poppy are back again this weekend. Because they have become frequent visitors, very little settling in time is needed. Poppy comes in like she’s never been away, while Cola who has separation anxiety, takes a little longer. They are very good at night. Poppy sleeps alongside me on the bed while Cola prefers the floor. I do however, nearly always lose my seat on the mini chaise!

It was a bit of a mad day yesterday with the usual daycares of Nora, Maisie and Rocky. They were joined by little Max and newbie Betsy who was here for her trial daycare. As it was sunny, quite a lot of time was spent chasing around the garden. Eventually they came in for a rest and Maisie promptly sat with her new best friend and I managed to get this photo of them. Betsy fitted in well and we look forward to seeing her again.

This has just cropped up in my memories. The wonderful, irreplaceable Sky Puggle, sadly no longer with us, with her adored Uncle Philip. This was taken an incredible 9 years ago but seems like yesterday.

Had a lovely day yesterday with Axel. He quite enjoyed all the attention. I actually got quite a good photo of him, on my bed,’helping’ to put the washing away.

Back in routine today. I am currently awaiting the arrival of Axel the Golden German Shepherd. Just him & me today so he’ll get loads of cuddles. He’s been coming to us since a puppy so is quite used to the set up.

It wasn’t a quiet day yesterday by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a very enjoyable, playful one. Lucy, Fozzy and Rocky were all here for slightly longer than usual. Eventually they all decided that I needed company on the smaller settee plus I had lit the wood burner, so it was really cosy. Peace reigned for a short while until Fozzy got bored!

Rocky came for daycare and it was lovely seeing him back to his old self as he’s recently been poorly. He sat between my friends who had come for a catch up, and completely charmed them. He totally loves having humans around. After they’d gone, he settled down on my legs. He’s back today and will be joined by Lucy & Fozzy.
