Last Christmas it was just me signing off, this year it's from all 3 of us ❤️
As always I want to thank you all for your custom, friendship and unwaivering support, for what only can be described as 'one hell of a year ' 😳🥺

Eat, drink and be merry, enjoy your Christmas, however that looks to you and yours and let's buckle up for 2025 🍾🥂

On another note :
Me : " 4 dogs is enough, the house isn't big enough for more, 4 is stressful, expensive and nobody needs 4 dogs 🤦‍♀️

Also me : " meet 'little dog ' 🐶
If he made his way into our family you can guarentee he didn't have the best start, rescued from a miserable existence, taken in by a small charity and then to us ❤️

Little dog is the sweetest, kindest, most trusting little dog I have ever come across, he just wants to be loved and fed ❤️🐶

If you're going to have 4 dogs you might as well have 5 🤷‍♀️🤣🤣

And yes he really is called little dog 🐕

As you all know I finally opened Dalemor Explorer Nursery and Forest School in November 🤩
In the run up to opening, 2 of my daughters Morgan and Lexi took over the running of the dog walking side of the business. I've had great feedback about the service they have continued to provide. We have decided between us that they will carry on full time from January 2025 ! This will allow me to focus on both businesses and be where I need to be day to day, supporting both the girls and the Nursery staff. The Dog Academy is and always will be a huge part of me, so handing it over to the girls and keeping it as a family business is a win win ! ❤️🤩🥰
It will bring a few changes.

Walks will stop for Christmas on 24th December and resume on January 2nd 2025 !

I will have 2 wages to pay so it will need to run with a little more structure.

1 : I will be introducing a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the walk for less than 48hrs notice, full price for less than 24hrs notice

2 : The girls will be taking their annual holiday. 4 weeks notice will be given in advance of the dates.

3 : There will be a price increase of £1 per walk to help cover the ever rising costs 🥺

Unfortunately I'm back in hospital and had another surgery, likely to be here until Friday, the morphine is coming thick and fast so I'm not quite with it...no real change there 🤦‍♀️

Following mollys near death experience a couple of weeks ago, I'm more than a little bit relieved that she pulled through, even though I'm assured at every vet post op check up that she shouldn't have 🥹

Very sore, feeling very sorry for herself, but she made it ❤️🤩
On collection the vet nurse brought her out to me and told me to go home and buy a lottery ticket, she's the luckiest dog alive and shouldn't have pulled through 😔
She explained the tumor on her spleen would have been symptomatic free and if it ruptured she would have bled to death, the pyometra was actually a very twisted blessing in dusguise!
She has a way to go yet but, as always I can never thank Linkswood Veterinary Centre enough, the staff, the care, the Compassion is off the scale and we are so lucky to have the practice on our door step ❤️

Yesterday was tough, really tough, we came very close to losing our miniature schnauzer, molly 😢
After her season, she developed pyometra, a life threatening womb infection.
Following a season molly has always been a little under the weather, quiet (very unlike her in normal times) super picky with her food, often skipping meals and very clingy. All very normal due to hormone imbalance.
This time she was no different, However, Wednesday night she started vomiting, by yesterday morning she could hardly stand, emergency dash to the vet and within the hour she was In surgery, her spleen was also removed upon the discovery of a cancerous growth 🥺 if I had waited an hour we would have lost her 😔
Pyometra is something I've read lots about, know friends and clients who's dogs have either recovered or passed away, but I was stunned at how quickly this took hold of her .
If you have have girl dogs, please, I urge you to have them spayed once they are old enough. I once lost a young dog under anesthetic and I avoid them at all costs, but not doing it very nearly cost molly her life 💔
She not out of the woods yet but she's still here ❤️

For owners out all day, pop in and garden visits will take the place of walks, if you are going to be home and dogs won't be left for long periods please let me know. I appreciate it may be inconvenient....it's inconvenient to my bank balance 😫 but the dogs MUST AND WILL COME FIRST

Good morning 🐶

As I'm sure you all know..).as I excitedly bang on about it all the time 🫣)
I'm in the processes of opening a childrens nursery and crèche.
In preparation I'm running a summer of events which is going to take me away (temporarily) from the dog walking side of the academy.
From now, morgan and lexi will be taking over the day to day running from Monday to Thursday and I will be back on Fridays.
Please rest assured, the girls already work alongside me full time, they know your dogs as well as I do and I wouldn't pass them the reigns unless I was 100% confident to do so ❤️
I'm still fully in control of the running of the business and any issues, concerns or day to day chat please come to me as you normally would. I will return full time in September 🐶❤️

I have recieved a fair number of messages and phone calls today asking if the dog academy is closing due to my post announcing the opening of Dalemor Explorer Nursery and Forest School.
Please rest assured the business IS NOT CLOSING and will continue to run.
There will be some slight changes, My daughters Morgan and Lexi will be taking over the dog walking side of the business, they are already both working alongside me full time and know all of your dogs as well as I do ❤️
I will oversee the running of the business. I will continue with the dog training side although availability will be limited 🐶
If you have any worries, concerns, questions or queries please do get in touch, these changes will have no impact on yours or your dogs day to day routines 🐶🐾

I hope you're having a fab weekend and enjoying the sunshine 🌞
The warmer temperatures are due to last all next week, and this will have an impact on my walking schedule. There is plenty of water and shade at the field but I still have to transport them In the van.
I will start walks at 8:30 am and resume late afternoon if it cools down.
No dogs will be left unattended. It may mean a shorter morning walk and a pop in visit in the afternoon but I will keep you all posted. If you would like to talk it through further please feel free to drop me a message.

Whatever your answer it's great for humans and dogs.
Have you ever been out walking with your dog and its started eating it straight from the plant ? Dogs love this natural treat !
100% natural detox.
For dogs and humans you can infuse in water over night, drink the water or make tea.
For dogs you can blend them to a pulp and add to food for extra nutrition, and best of all its found in abundance in hedgerows, grass verges, meadows, pretty much everywhere. Its at its nutritional peak in spring.
