Ofcom are proposing to make some changes to royal mails services, this will have a direct knock on effect on businesses, customers and postal speeds and costs Here’s what’s happening:

- Royal Mail is being sold to a private investor for £3.6 billion

- Ofcom is proposing to cut Second Class deliveries to just 2-3 days a week (no Saturdays) and lowering the Royal Mail’s service targets

- First Class stamp prices are up by 94p to £1.70 in the last in five years - and Ofcom acknowledge they are likely to rise again

- The Universal Service Obligation, is at risk of compromising its foundations of affordability and reliability

These changes threaten to make card-sending slower, more expensive, and less reliable.We fear this will mirror other privatised services like water companies and railways: higher costs, poorer service, and little accountability.

This isn’t just bad for business. It’s bad for connection. For communities. For creativity.

If these proposals go ahead, we risk whittling away the very infrastructure that enables your cards to reach people’s hands - and hearts.

That’s why we’re supporting the Greeting Cards Association’s petition to ensure Parliamentary scrutiny of any proposed amends to the USO and are urging all our creators to act now.

🖊️ Please sign and share this petition before 10th April to:

- Lock in an affordable Second Class service

- Keep our post consistent and reliable

- Make sure Parliament, not profit, decides the future of post

This affects everyone who values meaningful, physical communication, or relies on it for income, so let’s make sure we’re heard - loud and clear - before it’s too late.

We call on the Government to amend legislation to require parliamentary scrutiny on any change to the Royal Mail's Universal Service Obligation (USO).

What. A. Month. 😮‍💨

March 2025 was full-on in the best and most chaotic ways!

It started with the absolute buzz of Crufts – thank you so much to everyone who stopped by the stand!

Then came the not-so-fun website crash… which made things seriously stressful. But you lot were beyond patient while it was being sorted, especially those of you who met me at Crufts and still waited to place your orders.

I see you, and I appreciate you more than you know!

🎉 Once the site was back, we had our biggest EVER online training session and it was honestly incredible. So many new faces getting started with Emmi-Pet and embracing all it has to offer.

I also carved out some much-needed time for rest, a little family adventure, and some personal growth – because life outside of business matters too.

Thanks for being on this wild ride with me – from the high vibes of Crufts to website meltdowns and everything in between.

My Website is on a Temporary URL 🚨

As many of you know, my website recently crashed due to increased traffic (which is both amazing and stressful at the same time! 😅).

After a few technical hiccups, we’ve moved it to a temporary URL while I get everything properly set up on a new, upgraded system: shop.dogtoothfairy.co.uk

What does this mean for you?
✅ You can still browse and place orders as normal.
✅ My training bookings and product purchases are still available.
✅ The website will soon be back on its usual domain.

💖WE ARE BACK IN ACTION AGAIN 💖

As you may have noticed, my website and shop were offline for over a week 🤦‍♀️

Many of you reached out with questions about your orders, sent messages, and contacted me on social media. I truly appreciate your patience and support during this time!

I have to admit, it was quite a shock. My goal is to provide you with a seamless shopping experience for all your Emmi-Pet products, so having the site down was far from ideal 😬

The good news? The website is back up and running! For now, it’s accessible via a slightly different address while everything gets fully reconnected in the background 🙌

I've been away this weekend with my little girl to Center Parcs, the past week has been a little disregulating to say the least 🤦‍♀️

My website crashed on Saturday the 8th of March due to increased traffic, while I was at Crufts, we were advised by Ionos to upgrade the current webhosting package with them which we did. Unfortunately they have messed up this process and at present the website still isn't back

My webdesigner has been working around the clock liaising with Ionos to try and rectify their errors and get the website back. This has been a stressful time for myself as a small business I rely on the website to be functional as its my only source of income. I want to say a huge thank you to Linda who has been working up blood sweat and tears all week behind the scenes to try and navigate everyones orders whilst trying to resolve the Ionos problem 💖🫶

Thank you so much to all of you who have helped this last week putting your trust in me and going back to the old fashioned methods of bank transfers-you all rock 🙌

And whilst we navigate this hurdle in my business I just want to thank you all for your continued patience and understanding

I'm still smiling and feeling hopeful for a positive resolution soon (scarletts face is probably how im really feeling) 🤣
