Our Story
Posh Paws dog grooming salon is located in Haltwhistle, Northumberland at the towns former police station on Aesica rd , with ample parking facilities for customers making it easy to drop your dog off with us for a pamper. At Posh Paws your dog will be groomed with love care and attention, we will have a full consultation before any grooming work is carried out to establish your dogs individual needs, as this is very important. Your dogs welfare is our number 1 priority, from start to finish your is our main concern and will receive 100% of our time . The salon is fully insured and we use high standard industry equipment to ensure your dogs safety at all times, all of our staff are trained to the highest of standards and attend regular training and dog grooming seminars to keep us up to date with the latest products and grooming methods. A bit about me: (Posh Paws owner, Stacey Waugh) Posh paws has been established in the town of Haltwhistle in Northumberland since 2014 I am an ICMG Certified Professional groomer and have been very fortunate to have trained with some of the countries top multi award winning dog groomers and grooming teachers Zoe Duffy, Marie Burns and Kirsty Young. I have over 22 years experience training and working in the animal care sector throughout my career in various animal related job roles including veterinary work, zookeeping working . Previous to opening Posh Paws I spent 12 years of my career working at Newton Rigg College in Cumbria teaching Animal Management as well as managing the college's busy dog grooming salon. My qualifications and training include ICMG (International Certificate of Master groomers) Certified salon professional and Certified Professional groomer, Cert Ed in post compulsory education, BTEC Diploma in Animal Care and Higher Diploma in Animal Welfare and management, I am also a qualified in pet first aid and a trained pet implanter.(micro chipping)
I have always had a passion for animals especially dogs and have my own long haired Chihuahua Rocco and Miniature Dacshund Winnie as well as my Chinchilla Persian Cat Blossom Rocco and Winnie both enjoy coming to work with their mummy and seeing some of the dog’s we are grooming each day.
