Hello lovely Springer Rescue for Scotland followers 👋

We are super busy at the moment, and as always we try to take all dogs that we can. This includes dogs who have pre-existing medical conditions, those who are surrendered because the owners can’t afford a required treatment or operation, or those that once they come into SRS we discover something at the routine vet check while in foster.

As you’ll all know, vet charges are increasing every year - and as we rescue more dogs, this is a double whammy for us.

We work with some amazing and generous vets, but the costs are still eye watering.

We fundraise hard, and our volunteers are amazing, but it’s not enough.

What can you see Toby? Is it your forever home?

Toby is a 6 year old neutered springer currently being fostered in Aberdeenshire after his adoption fell through - he's working really hard with his fosterer and our behaviourist to improve his manners and is improving daily.

He lives happily with his foster brothers and sister and he's happily lived as an only dog as well.

He needs someone with a patience, especially in the early days to help him settle into the new environment and get into a good routine, full support is available to any of our adopters from both his foster family and our trained behaviourists.

Foster dog Toby is out searching for his forever home, could that be you?

Toby is a 10 year old springer currently being fostered in Fife, where he is living with older children and other dogs.

As you can see he's not ready for retirement yet and needs a home who can provide regular walks, a warm bed and he wouldn't mind the odd cuddle on the sofa too.

Today we bring you a tale of brotherly love and a superhero dog!

SRS Archie alerted his humans during the night that something was wrong. When they went to investigate they found their other spaniel Moss having a seizure.

They rushed him to the vet and the early intervention made a difference.

Happily, Moss is recovering well and back home with Archie.

Well done, Archie - superhero dog- and good wishes to Moss 🦸‍♂️👏🐶🥳🎉

🏡CAN YOU OFFER A FOREVER HOME TO TOBY? 🏡

Toby is a 6 year old neutered springer currently being fostered in Aberdeenshire after his adoption fell through - he's working really hard with his fosterer and our behaviourist to improve his manners around stealing things and is improving daily.

He lives happily with his foster brothers and sister (he says she is a bit bossy) and he's happily lived as an only dog as well.

He needs someone with a commitment to ongoing training, especially in the early days to help him settle into the new environment and get into a good routine, full support is available to any of our adopters from both his foster family and our trained behaviourists.

Some very sad news today. SRS Lily - our poster and pin up girl - has passed over the rainbow bridge.

She was hugely loved not only by her amazing forever owners, but also by her wonderful SRS foster carer.

Run free at the bridge, Lily. Lots of love to your humans 💙
