Beautiful dog looking for a new home.

4 year old female cocker spaniel looking for a new home through no fault of her own.
She has lived with another dog all her life but due to a personal situation her current family are in the awful position of having to re home her.
Fun loving, fit and healthy, good recall but lead walks need a bit of work. She is a working cocker so full of energy and very bright.
Sleeps through the night, currently with her brother so not sure how being on her own would be.
Raw fed.
Good with other dogs, people and children.
Would fit in with most families but would probably love to have a home with another dog.

Some wonderful feedback from the last puppy course.

"We were really nervous to join a puppy class as never been to one before but we have loved the course!

We loved that it included training tips but also lots of knowledge and tips about being a dog own-er in general.
This is our first pup and although growing up with a dog, there is so much we have learnt over this course and felt really supported if we had any questions.

These classes were also great at getting our pup well socialized. Our main focus when getting a dog was that we werenโ€™t worried about him knowing paw or fancy tricks straight away, we just wanted him to be a sociable, well-behaved dog and these classes have helped that! People compliment us on how well behaved our 4 month old pup is when we take him out with us for breakfast!

We have thoroughly enjoyed the course and love attending the classes each week. We are gutted they are coming to an end."

โ—๏ธRAWHIDEโ—๏ธ

POSSIBLY THE MOST DANGEROUS DOG TREAT ON THE PLANET!

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white โ€œpureโ€ look and remove the rancid smell. Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.

On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.
If that wasn`t bad enough they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Leave them in the shop or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away and then dispose in the bin!

๐ŸพDealing with Hyperactivity in Dogs๐Ÿพ

Is your dog always on the move, full of energy, and never seems to settle down? Hyperactivity can be exhausting for both dogs and owners, but itโ€™s important to understand that itโ€™s often a sign that your dog has unmet physical or mental needs. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’จ

Here are some tips to help calm a hyperactive dog:

1. Increase Exercise
A tired dog is a happy dog! Take your dog for longer walks, engage in play sessions, or try activities like hiking or swimming to burn off that extra energy. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ•
But also an over exercised dog can lead to an ADRENALINE JU**IE - the dog is always looking for the next fix.
Itโ€™s about finding the right balance.

2. Mental Stimulation
Dogs also need to exercise their brains too! Puzzle toys, training sessions, and calm games can help channel their energy in a positive way. ๐Ÿง  mental stimulation is a great way to tire your dog. Did you know chewing is considered mentally stimulating, increases serotonin levels which in turn creates calmness.

3. Set a Routine
Consistency helps dogs feel secure. Establish a daily routine for feeding, exercise, and quiet time. ๐Ÿ•’

4. Practice Calmness
Reward your dog when they are calm. Ignore hyperactive behavior and reinforce quiet, relaxed moments to encourage them to settle. ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

5. Consider Diet
Sometimes, hyperactivity can be linked to diet. High-sugar, low-quality and processed ingredients can cause behavior changes. A balanced diet may help manage their energy levels. ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿฅ•

If you have concerns about your dogโ€™s behaviour, consult a vet to ensure thereโ€™s no underlying health issue contributing to their hyperactivity. Sounds crazy but pain can be linked to hyperactivity.

Patience, consistency, and the right outlets for energy can make all the difference in helping your dog live a balanced and happy life! โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ
