Be SO careful when giving your dogs human food!

You might not know this, but here are 10 common foods that are toxic to dogs:
1. Chocolate – Contains theobromine and caffeine, which are harmful to dogs.
2. Grapes and Raisins – Can cause kidney failure in dogs.
3. Onions and Garlic – Damage red blood cells and can lead to anemia.
4. Xylitol (in sugar-free gum and candies) – Can cause insulin spikes and lead to liver failure.
5. Avocado – Contains persin, which can be toxic in large amounts.
6. Macadamia Nuts – Can cause weakness, vomiting, and tremors.
7. Alcohol – Even small amounts can cause intoxication and organ damage.
8. Caffeine (in coffee, tea, or energy drinks) – Can be fatal to dogs.
10. Cooked Bones – Can splinter and cause internal damage or choking.

Always consult your vet if you suspect your dog has ingested something toxic!

Separation Anxiety in Dogs: Tips and Treats to Help 🐾❤️

Does your pup panic every time you leave? Separation anxiety is especially common in poodle-type breeds, but any dog can become a ‘Velcro dog.’ Here are some tips to help ease their stress:

✨ Start Small: Keep notes on how long you leave your dog. Start with just 30 seconds and gradually build up. Consistency is key!
✨ Keep Them Busy: Treats are a lifesaver! Try:
• Stuffed beef tracheas (with cheese, chicken, or sausage—freeze for longer-lasting fun).
• Calves’ hooves or giant beef scalps (great for their teeth too!).
• Paddy whacks (a tough chew to keep them entertained).
✨ Scatter Games: Hide air-dried cubes (turkey, chicken, venison) around the room or in an empty milk bottle for some sniff-and-find fun!

If the anxiety is severe, speak to your vet about options like anti-anxiety meds. But with patience and daily practice, you can help your pup feel safe and secure while you’re away. 💛
