AVAILABILITY 2025:

Reposting for my new followers 🐈‍⬛

ANNOUNCEMENT:

* As a heads up, I will be refusing to complete any bookings where I am not able to do the entirety of the trip.
* I appreciate the cost of living and relying on friends/neighbours to help, however if I am not booked once a day (minimum) for a trip I cannot ensure that your cat’s care comes first.
* This helps me monitor any health issues which may arise at the earliest opportunity. Plus, it keep the litter tray sparkling clean which can avoid any accidents in the house (which I’m sure the fur babies will appreciate!)
* Cats need to be checked on once a day minimum. I will not be booked for once every 48 hours.
* It would really upset me if a cat had a change of behaviour or a concern that wasn’t raised to the owner’s attention by a neighbour/ friend, and this then developed into a serious issue. I would then have to walk into this situation which could result in urgent care being needed. This would make me feel really distraught and uncomfortable when it could have been prevented.

This policy also gives me peace of mind because I know exactly what care has been delivered each day by myself.

If you wish for friends/ neighbours to complete additional check ins, that’s absolutely fine but I do require to be booked in once per day for the duration of the trip. This could be for one AM or one PM visit if you have other people to help out and pop in to check on your furry friend.

For example, if you are away for 14 days I will have to be booked for once a day minimum. I will be unable to do 3/14 days because a neighbour/friend is covering the rest of the dates.

I truly believe I deliver a high standard of care and this announcement means I can continue doing so. 😻🐾

I can’t believe I have 6 bookings already from March-August. Please do send me a text if you need me for any trips you have planned, there is only one of me so book in advance to avoid disappointment ❤️

I foresee I will have to close the diary next year to new cat owners, now I have over 100 on my books 🐾

Hi everyone!
Some changes in advance of closure for this year, and reopening in Spring 2025.

Please do enquire for Christmas / New Year dates and bookings in 2025 from March onwards.

TIME OFF ‼️
- I will be taking some planned time off every 3 months because this past year I only had 3 days off!

DEPOSIT ‼️
- 50% non refundable deposits to secure dates are required. If you do 100% want to book in please pay deposit at the time of enquiring otherwise dates are not confirmed, and will be passed to another cat owner.

SUPPLIES ‼️
- Please can we make sure we are leaving enough supplies out, cat litter and food throughout the duration of your time away.

UPDATES ‼️

If you are away for longer than 5 days I’ll be doing my photo/ video updates every other day. Should there be any urgent concerns you will be contacted immediately. Otherwise I have found I’m more focussed on my phone than staying in the present with your fur babies.

KEY ARRANGEMENTS ‼️
- Once I have had a cuppa and a natter with you for an initial meet and greet for your first time booking in and you need me again, please drop keys to me, leave in a safe place or key box.

Zzzz! ‼️
- So I can have some ‘me time’ with my own cats, I will not be responding to enquiries after 9pm unless marked as urgent. Even cat sitters need some time to nap 💤

CHANGES ‼️ once booking commences will still be chargeable (duration of the dates saved.)

EMERGENCY CONTACT ‼️

Whilst there is the amazing advantage of running this on my own, (and not having an agency set up where it’s different pet sitters coming in your home each time.) Should there be any emergencies where I cannot fulfil my booking, please ensure I have emergency contact details for someone local to take over.

* For full transparency and GDPR purposes my parents have my log in details to access my page and phone in the event of any emergency situation to make contact with cat owners.*

Tips and tricks for fireworks night 🐈‍⬛

What can you do?
1) Hiding places – make sure they have comfortable beds in places where they feel safe and can retreat to. Sometimes cats like to get up high to feel safer. Providing igloo beds or cardboard boxes safely positioned in elevated places can help. cat to hide in fear
2) Do not punish – make sure home is a sanctuary where your cat is never told off or threatened.
3) Pheromone support – plug in FELIWAY® Optimum Diffuser to deliver serenity messages, helping you cat feel comfortable and secure at home.
4) Keep them away from the ‘bang’ – in the run up to firework nights, feed at a set time a few hours before it gets dark to encourage your cat to come in before the fireworks start. Make sure all windows, doors and flaps are kept shut until the next day to keep your cat safely at home. Play the radio/TV loud enough to mask the noise.
5) Provide support – if you have a good relationship with your cat, they will value your presence and feel more safe when you are at home even if they don’t ask for attention or like to go into another room.
6) Ensure they are micro-chipped – in case they get panicked by fireworks when out and run away.
7) Provide a litter tray – indoors during fireworks so they can comfortably be kept indoors even if they usually toilet outdoors. Keep away from food dishes and clean regularly. Provide one per cat and one spare.

Had the joy of looking after Apricat and Beans for over a week, Beans was a little shy but Apricat loved her cuddles and chin scratches. They were desperate to go out but I had to keep them inside! 🐈‍⬛🐾
