We passionately believe that every pet deserves a loving forever home. Over the years, we are proud to have worked alongside rescue, and rehoming organisations across the country who strive to help pets in need find their forever loving homes. In 2021, we broadened our objectives, allowing us to support charities that work alongside pets and the people who love them. We will strive to work alongsi

When Gomez first arrived at Stray Aid he was in a terrible state. His skin condition was painful and restrictive, and he struggled to breathe. But with love, care, and the support of the incredible team at the rescue, he's made an amazing recovery.

Thanks to your Santa Paws appeal donations, Stray Aid were able to provide Gomez with the veterinary care he needed. He underwent surgery to improve his breathing and received medication to heal his skin. Today, he's a happy and healthy dog, full of love and energy 🥰

When the RSPCA - Wimbledon, Wandsworth & Sutton Branch first met Rhys, he was in a terrible state. A nasty wound and a partial eye injury, he'd endured a tough life on the streets.

But with your support during Santa Paws 2023, we were able to give him a second chance. Through countless vet visits, surgeries, and endless love from his foster family, Rhys made a miraculous recovery.

“Cato is a young dog who has benefitted enormously from the Santa Paws appeal. Without it we may not have been able to save him as his needs were so complex.” – Julie Shelton, Chair.

When tiny Cato arrived at Appledown Rescue and Rehoming Kennels - Eaton Bray, his life hung in the balance. Struggling to breathe and barely able to stand, he was a heartbreaking sight. With each passing day, it seemed as though his little body was giving up. But Cato was a fighter, defying all odds. Cato pulled through and has adapted to his limitations. Today, Cato is a happy and thriving pooch. He loves meeting new people and spending his days exploring his surroundings. Your donations make a real difference in the lives of animals like Cato.

This is Gem, a sweet stray cat from East Lothian. She was taken in by Lothian Cat Rescue and her unusual symptoms had them stumped. She went through X-rays, CT scans, and even a spinal tap, but nothing could pinpoint the cause.

Finally, a specialist diagnosed her with Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome (FHS). While there's no cure, with the right medication, Gem is now living a happy and pain-free life.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters through last year’s , the rescue was able to provide Gem with the specialised care she needed.

Say hello to the beautiful Marli. Marli was an emergency case. A thorough veterinary examination revealed a serious liver condition, a shunt, that required extensive treatment. Thanks to your support during the Santa Paws Appeal last year, Second Chances German Shepherd Rescue were able to provide Marli with the specialised care she needed.

Dawn at the rescue said, ‘The funds raised through our relationship with Pets at Home are vitally important to us - and to the dogs that come into our care, which we support.’

The camera loves you!

Check out these absolute cuties, who attended a photoshoot inside Pets UK 's Grimsby Pet Care Centre to raise money for our Santa Paws Appeal. It was so hard to pick just one favourite...so the team picked 3!

Up first is Buddy, the Australian Shepard, who belongs to Chloe. Buddy loves going to doggy day care and his favourite thing to do is making new friends. We'll be your friend, Buddy!

Next is Audrey who is a Labrador cross Alsatian. Owners Dan and Tom said that her favourite treat is chicken nuggets, and she enjoys long days at the allotment. Same, Audrey.

Last but absolutely not least, we have Marnie, the Aussie Doodle, who lives with Kieran and Jess. Marnie can understand German! Fantastisch!

Last year, thanks to your generosity through the Santa Paws Appeal, the Cheltenham Animal Shelter was able to save the lives of a young mother cat, Pawdrey, and her kittens.

Pawdrey was discovered living in a garden shed with her five newborn kittens. They were huddled in a cardboard box, abandoned, and covered in fleas. Upon discovery, they were brought to the charity, where they received urgent care and treatment. With your support, Pawdrey and her kittens overcame illness and found their forever homes.

Isaac came to Brysons Animal Shelter in the winter of 2023.

After some time on the streets, he was in a bit of a state and needed dental care and antibiotics as he was in pain with his teeth.

The Santa Paws money paid for Isaacs’s vet fees and ensured he got everything he needed before going to his new forever home.

The funds raised during the Santa Paws Appeal last year meant that Garbos German Shepherd Dog Rescue could say "YES" without hesitation when asked by a local pound to take in a dog that was found tied up in the woods.

“Zoe had served her seven days in the pound and was now at risk. We were told this poor, sweet girl had been used for breeding all her life. Surely she deserved to feel some love and happiness.

So, into our care she came. We were slightly concerned that her stomach was large and 3 days later, she delivered 8 pups!

The money raised paid for all the care, vaccinations, microchipping, flea and worming treatments. All the costs for Mum (including spaying) and the pups were covered by the monies raised by the Santa Paws Campaign and we simply cannot thank you enough.”

We try not to make people cry, but it was worth it in this case 😉 Bristol DAWG Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue broke out in tears when we surprised them at the Bradley Pets UK store with a grant cheque of £10,479 so that the rescue can make refurbishments to old kennels that have become unusable. Once the refurbishments are complete, it will allow the rescue to increase the capacity of the site from 16 to 22 🙌

We’ve received a super cute thank you video from Canine Partners for the £50,000 we awarded them towards their Financial Assistance Fund 🥰 Thanks to the grant, they’ve been able to help 149 partners and their dogs with ongoing medical costs or emergency veterinary treatment which has ensured that their life-changing canine stayed healthy and happy 👏 We wonder how many takes this took 😉 #FeelGoodFriday

We’re supporting charities that are helping people through pets, like BRAVEHOUND! In addition to being a community partner with the Dunfermline Pets UK store, we awarded the charity £95,000, spread over two years, towards its BRAVEHOUND Companions Project supporting veterans and their companion dogs, including delivering training and supporting with pet food and vet transportation. Located in central Scotland, it supports military veterans by providing companion and assistance dogs and supporting veterans’ own dogs. The veterans supported have PTSD, depression or anxiety as a result of their service. The charity aims to reduce isolation, loneliness, and the risk of self-harm. We’re thrilled to support life-changing charities like BRAVEHOUND and veterans like Michael through our #PetsHelpingPeople grant programme 💚 Watch Michael and Tich’s story 🎥

Six of our Pets UK colleagues just completed our second skydive challenge event of the year 🪂 Our brave fundraisers leapt out of a plane to raise funds for the Foundation, and we're so grateful for their support. Our Pets UK colleagues had a blast raising funds for the Foundation at Saturday's Tough Mudder in Birmingham. One of the mudders, Andy, said, "This day was excellent and challenging. I did it to make a difference to all the pets that the Foundation supports, and I chose Tough Mudder because I knew it would be hard work."

Today is #InternationalDayofCharity, and it’s the perfect time to announce the results of our Blue Cross UK Summer Appeal! We’re incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we've received and want to say a massive thank you to Pets UK colleagues, customers, and suppliers who backed this year’s summer fundraiser. Thanks to your kindness and hard work, we’re over the moon to announce that we donated all 60,000 pet food parcels, which will feed 79,200 pets for a day, and raised a staggering £475,300 🙌 Your donations have made a real difference to pets and people in communities facing challenging times nationwide. It’s also prevented many people from having to choose between feeding themselves or their pets or surrendering their pets for rehoming. We're committed to making a lasting impact, and the funds raised mean that this project can continue to help keep pets and people together in local communities 💚💙
