The final variety 🐣. About 3 weeks ago we received an urgent call to incubate some pheasant eggs (after an incident with a mower 🙈). By the end of Sunday, 6 tiny birds had hatched. They are between a quail and chicken in size and their call, was so quiet and sweet at first, is now a right holler. They move incredibly quickly! Trying to concentrate today, while WFH, with this little bruiser is hard. He is very noisy and a little lonely as his incubator companions have not joined him yet. However, I found a way to chill him out 😃. Had to use a scarf in the end as my neck was starting to ache from lowering my chin as if it was a mummy chicken. “You can do anything but never go against the family.” 🎬 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🐥🐥 Lurker update: So that’s it for egg sitting. Mums and babies are up and out in the bigger area. First there was a family outing (main video), followed by a spa session and chat for the mums (video in the comments) while the dads took on baby sitting duty (photo in the comments)... I’m not kidding that is what it looked like! 🤣

Lurker update 🦃 🐥 No more new arrivals but our 3-4 day old seems healthy and very confident. This is mum coming off her eggs to fetch it back.
