Whether it's 1 dog or 20 (which is the most dogs we had in one property in 2025!), there is no extra charge for dog ever. It's one of the good 'rules' I knew I wanted to have have when I set up East Ruston Cottages back in 2008.

Did you know this? I feel like I talk about it all the time but even if it reaches just one or two new people I think it's worth it!

It's Boxing Day so it's 26th of the month, that's my monthly payover day for Elpida Shelter of Hope and WOW WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING BUNCH OF PEOPLE YOU ARE!!!!!

After my last post with the poor take up of Christmas goodies I had a number of donations including a very generous sum from the lovely East Ruston Cottages - Norfolk Dog Retreats. There are also a couple of orders now sitting on my board for the start of the New Year :D

I CAN'T THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH, the shelter can pay their food and vet bill now which is a huge relief as we all know that January is a very quiet and difficult month.

I am now sending in a massive £900 to Elpida Shelter of Hope

This time last year I sent £1,250 to Elpida from the sale of Christmas stockings and special Christmas orders, sadly this year I only have £466-00 for the doggies at Elpida Shelter of Hope to have a Christmas dinner :'(

I am sure people are not seeing my posts so if you see this please leave me a comment to ensure you continue to see them in the future.

Another month, another donation......

It's been another quiet month resulting in a £500 payment to Elpida Shelter of Hope.

I still have Christmas Stockings available, they are made to order so don't leave it too late if you want one. £23.00 each + £3.85 postage for up to two stockings.

This year the stockings will cost £23-00 each plus Royal Mail 2nd class postage of £3-85 which will cover 2 stockings.
I have tried to keep the price as low as possible whilst still making enough to buy the dogs at Elpida Shelter of Hope their Christmas dinner. I will also be donating the cost of the ingredients.

The stockings include 4 x 150gm packs of biscuits, one of each flavour Simply Biscuit, Just Cranberry, Carrot & Rice, Garlic & Parsley. If you want a different selection of biscuits please state this on your order. The stockings will be posted over the first 2 weeks of December.
