Kaiser came into our practice yesterday in severe respiratory distress. He had been enjoying playing with his ball when it suddenly got lodged in his throat. His owner brought him in immediately. We sedated him and the team managed to dislodge the ball. Kaiser's owner has kindly given us permission to post this video as a warning to all dog owners. Please do not allow your dogs solid play toys that a dog can accidentally swallow. We recommend larger play balls that don't completely fit in the dog's mouth. Not every dog will be as lucky as Kaiser.
