New enclosure update 🛠

The construction of our new animal enclosure continues to make great progress. We are now getting really excited as we get close to the arrival of some secret new animals 🤫

The carpentry works and electrics within the enclosure are now complete, and lighting and heaters have been fitted.

The last of the sand has been delivered and is ready to be levelled out.

Over the next couple of weeks work is due to start on creating an eco-friendly roof which will be covered in plants and vegetation.

The works are being funded by Harlow Council as part of a major programme to continue improving the town’s much-loved community services.

The new animals are due to arrive very soon so watch this space for more updates!

Santa and the Elves are feeling rather excited about the party this afternoon 🥳.

If you have booked tickets please make sure you wrap up warm, it will be a bit chilly, although I am sure the dance moves will help to keep us all warm.

Last minute tickets still available up until 2pm today. Just email [email protected], with your childrens first name and ages.

If you have children under the age of 1 or over the age of 12 that would like to come along but not participate in the activities then they are welcome without a ticket.

Don't miss out on the Elf Christmas Party, it's going to be a fun filled afternoon of dancing, fake snow, cookie decorating, crafts and most exciting of all, Santa will be there giving out presents 🎅

👀For those children that have already been lucky enough to see Santa this year, there is the option to purchase a ticket without a Santas grotto visit. These tickets are available for £14.50 per child.

WEATHER UPDATE

These gust are here to stay 💨.

We will have a small handful of stall holders still selling their home made items in the learning centre (just opposite the cafe). There will be no additional activities around the farm today.

If you still plan on visiting please make your way to the learning centre for you chance to buy some unique festive gifts.

WEATHER UPDATE
Santa is still going to be in his grotto from 11am today. We may need to close earlier weather depending.

We can hardly contain our excitement, Santa is coming to Pets' Corner tomorrow!

🎅No pre booking required. Just show up tomorrow and make your way to the gift shop to purchase a ticket.

🎅£5 per child

🎅Each child will recieve a gift

🎅The gift shop will be selling tickets to meet Santa between 11am and 2pm tomorrow, the 24th November.

🌩☔️Despite the Great British weather we are still hoping to go ahead with our Christmas Makers Market tomorrow 11am - 3pm. There will be deluxe hot chocolates☕️and mulled wine 🍷to keep you warm whilst you shop for those unique home made gifts🎁.

📚 Ezra’s Little Library opens in Town Park 🌳

A new outdoors library has opened at the Town Park Learning Centre in memory of a brave little boy.

Ezra was 21 months old when he sadly passed away last year due to complications related to Holt-Oram Syndrome, a condition that affects the upper limbs and heart.

To honour Ezra’s love of the Town Park and reading books, his family with the support of Harlow Council created a little library where residents can take a book, bring a book or share a book 📚

When you come and see us please visit Ezra’s Little Library which is just outside the Learning Centre.

Those cheeky Elves are visiting Pets' Corner after dark, to throw a great big party 🥳

It's exciting news as they have said Santa and Mrs Claus will be there too!

Ticket prices include;
🎅Santas Grotto with a small gift
🕺Dance along with the Elves at the disco
🖍A Christmas craft
🤶Decorate a cookie with Mrs Clause

Tickets can only be purchased in person from the gift shop and there are a limited number. So we recommend purchasing as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

If you are going to our free fireworks night event tonight here’s everything you need to know…times, local road closures, free parking and keeping safe

Harlow Steel Band playing from 5.30pm 🥁
At 6.15pm the bonfire will be lit 🔥
At 6.30pm the fireworks display will start 🎇

🚧 Road closures

Fifth Avenue, parts of Park Lane and School Lane will be closed between 5.15pm and 8.30pm

The Sainsbury’s roundabout to the First Avenue roundabout will also be closed from 6.30pm to 8.30pm

🅿️Car parking

There is limited parking available for Blue Badge holders only at the Showground car park before 5:45pm. We advise accessing this car park via Gladwin Way. You will not be able to leave this car park until Fifth Avenue has been reopened

School Lane car park will be free from 6pm to 8pm

Altham Grove car park will be free from 6pm to 8pm

Wych Elm car park will be free from 6pm to 8pm

Post Office Road car park is closed due to temporary bus station works

The Water Gardens car park will be free from 4pm until midnight

There is also a large car park at Harlow Town train station

🚻 Toilets

The toilets next to Pets' Corner will be open, but will close from 8pm

We ask you to follow these safety guidelines:

* do not bring fireworks to the event
* be careful with sparklers
* wrap up warmly and wear appropriate footwear - the Showground may be muddy
* bring a torch
* leave pets at home
* children must be accompanied by an adult at all times - if your children become lost or separated, please find a steward or go to the control tent near the Bandstand
* remain behind the safety barriers at all times

🏮 Bonfire night lantern parade and lantern making workshop🏮

Did you take part in the Velo Artists Lantern making workshops this summer? If not don’t worry, there is still time to make your lantern for this year’s Harlow Lantern Parade!

Taking place at the Harlow Playhouse Square, our Velo Artist will show you how to make your very own lantern as well as help others with last minute touches.

The lantern parade will start at the Harlow Playhouse Square and lead through the town towards Harlow Town Park, led by our Velo artists. The parade will end with plenty of time to enjoy the lantern display as well as view the Harlow Town Park’s Bonfire Night.

Takes place on Sunday 3 November:

Lantern Making Workshop
All materials are provided, no need to book

2.30pm – 4.30pm

5pm – 5.35pm

Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing prepared for weather conditions. Children to be always accompanied by an adult.

ALL LANTERNS WILL BE LIT BY ARTIFICIAL LIGHT.
