Herts & Essex Community Farm Herts & Essex Community Farm is a non for profit project which provides social, economic, environmental and educational benefits to Hertfordshire & Essex.

Herts & Essex Community Farm is open to everyone and offers local people a space to grow fruits and vegetables using organic techniques. What we aim to do:

- To develop and maintain the orchard, vegetables and fruits grown using organic techniques.

- Develop wildlife habitats to support organic gardening and conservation.

- Conserve local fruit tree varieties planted in the orchard.

- Grow heritage and other fruit & vegetable varieties and save seed for future use.

- Show participants how to grow food in a sustainable way.

- Give access to fresh food to the local community.

- Provide an opportunity for people with learning disabilities and mental health problems to learn practical and personal skills.

- Provide an opportunity to local residents to learn gardening/farming techniques for fruit and vegetable growing and also animal care.

- Encourage children to engage in gardening and conservation through school activities and family focused events.

We are devastated to hear of the untimely passing of Tiffany Blatchford, she was a volunteer, supporter and friend to us at the community farm and we will miss her greatly.

Tiff was a true advocate for the most vulnerable in our society sticking up for the underdog and not compromising on her values.

Her integrity, humour, charisma, tenacity and compassion will be missed by us all ❤️

On Saturdays Harlow College car park is given over to charitable organisations for them to raise funds . Tomorrow it is being run by the 3rd Harlow Guides and Rangers. It only costs £2 per car for the day.
If you are visiting Harlow town centre tomorrow please support them. Nice big parking spaces,no height restriction or pillars!!

Thank you to everyone who came along to the farm for our cream tea today, we hope you all had a fabulous time.

We had the best entertainment from ASL and then due to frustrating generator issues Anita delivered an acapela masterpiece ❤️

All is made possible by the dedication of our wonderful volunteers, they are truely incredible humans 😊

Look forward to seeing you all soon, pop down for a cuppa and a chat soon!

Our farm shop will be open tomorrow for our cream tea event with a range of products alongside our freshly picked fruits & veg!

We have a card reader but it can be a temperamental so if you have cash that would be fab 🥒🧄🥔🍎🫑🍅

We have gone solar at the farm which will indeed cut our work watering down. Thank you to everyone who attends our events, buys plants from us and generally donates to us, it’s everyone of you that has enabled us to continue working this beautiful place and help invest in a beautiful green space within Harlow.
