There is no greater bond than an owner and their dog. This is such a special relationship that should be cherished and appreciated. Unconditional love!

My 2 dogs are most definitely members of my family and bring me and the children so much joy 😊

How have you spent your weekend?

After a busy day, I'm enjoying some lovely snuggles with Todd and Upsy on the sofa. Dogs give the best cuddles 🐶❤️

The powerful bond between a man and his dog!

It is so important to have a strong bond with your dog. We obviously love our dog's like they are our children and are a huge part of the family but we want them to feel the same too.

If you have a strong bond with your dog, it's is a huge training aid. This helps with making training fun, having a great engagement from your dog and is super helpful for recall. If you are the most important thing in your dog's life and they respect you, they will listen to you more.

Make training your dog super fun and praise them for all their good behaviour. Try adding games, treats and cuddles into your training.

I had an amazing time with Scholar and Sage today. We are working with steadiness and retrieving.

Cocker Spaniels love to retrieve so this is perfect to add into their training programme. Make sure you make training fun for your dog and yourself. This means it will be positive for both of you and therefore you will progress more.

Meet my dogs!

Todd is a Jack Russell Terrier. He is 13 years old and acts like an old man. He is a sweetheart and loves lazing around the house and sitting on the sofa. But comes alive when the smell of mice or rats is about 😂 He is amazing with other dogs and absolutely loves my children. Unfortunately his hearing is going a bit now so he does have the tendency to 'wander off'.

Upsy Daisy is my 6 year old Labrador, named my the children obviously 🥰 She is a classic lab, loves food and has a heart of gold. She is the first gun dog I have actually owned myself, and it's been brilliant training her. I have fallen in love with the breed. She has so much personality and loves running around with the children. We are hoping to have puppies this year from her and to keep one 🐶

Upsy and Todd absolutely adore each other and are the best of friends 🧡

The weather is chilly but absolutely beautiful. Crisp, cold days with lovely blue sunny skies. I love being outside all year round, I'm not one for being stuck inside at all. I'm so lucky that my passion and job allows me to do it ❤️

I'm having a brilliant week so far doing lots of training. I hope you are all enjoying the weather as much as me and having some lovely walks with your dogs with a spot of training too🐶

💥Let's talk dog whistles💥

I absolutely love my dog whistle and can't go on a dog walk without one. They are such a good training aid when teaching your dog obedience. With a high-pitched sound, you can communicate with your dog at distance without shouting. This makes training faster and less stressful for both yourself and your dog.

You can make different sounds with the whistle that mean difference commands to your dog. A few things you can teach your dog to do is recall, stop, wait, and redirection.

These whistles are now available to purchase her at . They come in blue, red, purple and lime green. They are box and have a very useful lanyard to clip them to, which goes around your neck. That way, you can't loose it!

These 3 are my must haves when taking my labrador out for a walk/training. Every day is a training day, and that never stops. There is always room for improvement.


I used a rope lead, a 210.5 dog whistle on a lanyard and a dummy for retrieving.

🐶 Recall Longline Training 🐶

Longlines are an essential tool when training your puppy or dog to come back to you. If you don't have control of your dog off of the lead or have a 100% guaranteed recall then a longline should be used.

Training using a dog longline for recall is a great way to teach your dog to come back to you without the fear of them running off whilst off the lead.

Many accidents or dog fights happen because dogs are off of the lead and their owners can't get them back. This is devastating and can completely be prevented by the correct training and the use of a longline.

These longlines are made from a heavy duty webbing material measuring 10 metres with a 360 degrees swivel clip. They are soft on your hand and very easy to use.

This morning I had a lesson with Harry the Springer Spaniel. We have had 6 lesson so far and Harry is a very excited, energetic dog. He has struggled at times with training as he just wants to run and play. Anyway he has done amazingly well today. This video is of him doing a sit stay, followed by a retrieve.

Long lines back in stock. These really are essential with dog training. Gives the dog freedom on a walk but the owner reassurance that the dog can't run off.

Going back to basics with 14 month old Upsy. She is really good on the stop whistle usually but can get a bit carried away and ignore me, completely normal for her age.
So i put her on the long line just to keep her in check again.
There is nothing wrong with going back to basic training with your dogs or giving them a few weeks off. You can definitely over cook them. Keep training fun so the dog enjoys it and doesn't see it as a chore.

Pretty excited about this delivery of our new dog bed. They are so hard waring, wipe clean, very comfortable and durable. Had my last one for about 8 years. Amazing quality. Tuffies beds!!

Sonny the cocker spaniel had his first lesson today. He is 10 weeks old and we started training with waiting for food, not going up the stairs, staying in his bed and toilet training. He was amazing and very cute.
